New here, but I want to say that the Garnock Valley in Scotland , Kilbirnie, Beith and Dalry about 20 mins from Glasgow is (in our experience) positive and has a growing black population.
Ironic as everyone says it's been a dumping ground for drug addicts and ex offenders, but for a former industrial area has decent prices and close to the city, and lovely areas of coast and mountains.
My husband and I settled in a new build, both work for the NHS and we're delighted to see several.other black couples, families and individuals. Not had any problems with race, friendly so far.
