Are you taking up yet another boycott of Nestle following the recent findings?

Nestle is one of those many companies which are a CV marker for many fields and careers (pharmaceuticals, engineering, chemicals). And once again it has shown it's true colours.

My question is how many other companies intentionally and wilfully purpose second grade or unhealthy FDA approved pharma/ food stuffs for Africa, Asia and Latin America?

(FDA: US Food & Drug Administration)

If you are Black, Asian or of South American heritage and are boycotting any other company, which ones and why?

I'm not Black/Asian/South American so apologies for jumping in, but Nestle have historically been shit and have been doing similar stuff with baby formula since at least the 1990s when I originally started boycotting their products. Doesn't seem to make any difference sadly, I think legislation is the only thing that will stop them.

Government is to serve it's people. Why don't the governments of these countries pass legislation or enforce them if already passed?
Politicians in these countries tend to be amongst the richest politicians in the world yet the ~serve/govern~ rule over the poorest people in the world.
People need to call out these governments! They allow so many unethical and illegal practices.
Recently it came to light a commercial building in Abuja with offices and supermarket does not allow non Chinese people in. Though after an outcry on SM the authorities are now looking into it.

It it’s difficult to boycott companies that own several brands

BettySundaes · 03/05/2024 17:48

Not really, most of Nestle products are ultra processed nonsense. I haven't touched them in over 30 years and the only thing I miss is a kit kat.

hooksbell · 05/05/2024 14:19

I've been boycotting Nestle for about 30 years. Every time, I vaguely wonder if I should buy a Kitkat or Aero, the company does something to remind me why I don't miss those items that much.
