Head lice. How do I manage this

So yet again, I find that all online topics/guides how to remove headlice assume that our children have poker straight hair and a metal nit comb will just slide through easily.

I think I've found a louse in my daughters hair - her curl patterns are multiple stretching from 3b to 4c.
I've sectioned her hair into 8 but I don't think the nit comb is even going to make it through the first inch of her hair. But I will try.
I've calculated it will take me about 2 hours to do the combing (although the lice shampoo says leave on for 5 minutes)
I only want to do this once - has anybody got any tips for how to address the lice removal with coily hair.
To make the combing process easier, should I add conditioner???

My DD has similar hair, it's impossible to pull a nit comb through.

I found that Nitwits headlice solution works. You don't need to comb the hair to use it, just spray and leave then wash and repeat a week later. Brilliant stuff!

Garlic oil finally got rid of DS’s nits.

Rub it well through the hair, massage it in and leave it as long as you can bear.

Neem oil also works.

(Not black, sorry. But do have lots of experience with nits.)

I also second Nitwits, had to use on my curly coily mixed race hair after ripping out my ends with that horrendous nit comb. Avoid any headlouse product that you have to comb through and get this instead.

I remember my hair breaking the nitcomb when I was a kid!

Hedrin have the foam solution you leave on for 8+ hours than wash out, they also have other treatment sprays etc
