Sickle Cell

Hi all. I was watching the news earlier, and they had a segment on Sickle Cell, and the need for more black people to donate blood. Just wanted to put it on here I guess, hopefully the news report will reach a lot more people who may hopefully donate, if they have not before. Thanks.

What a great post. Thanks for sharing, might prompt some people to consider if they could donate.
On that subject, since covid, the NHS where I live have made it increasingly difficult to donate blood- no more walk ins, appoinment only and a rubbish appointment system that has to be done online. The NHS need to sort this out- I'm not surprised there are donor blood shortages.

Thank you@snowlady4 . It is a shame to hear that there are barriers to donating blood in your area. Hopefully those issues will be addressed by those in charge there.
