Struggling to fit in at work?

I work in a predominately white area, all the ladies I work with are 50+ and white we have no diversity in our team which is most likely down to the area but we still have links to the West Midlands.

I can not settle in for the life of me and I have been there for 6 months now. I have plenty of white friends but they are very cultured.

Any tips or advice? I feel like the odd one out.

Oh Gawash sounds horrid ….. no advice really as I’m a white frumpy middle aged women !! But sorry you are experiencing this. :(

When you say you cannot settle, what do you mean? Are you finding aspects of the job difficult, or is it not what you expected etc.?
