Please can I ask your opinion?

Please can I ask for your opinions on this?

I've just made a thread today about my neighbour, I'll try to link the thread in a minute.

Would you be offended, if your white neighbours loudly called their dog a black f#cker, and also if they loudly sang the N word when listening to music? Repeatedly?

Not offended for the dog obviously Confused as some seem to think I was insinuating. But surely it's a racist comment which you wouldn't want your DC to be overhearing?

I don't know if I'm being over sensitive..

I looked at thread quickly and it seems quite a few people on 1st page agreed with you that it's racist, and advised you.

In your shoes I'd record her and also report her - if she's a tenant then, to her council or HA. Report to the police too. There's no way on this earth I'd put up with that she'd not like what I'd say to her. But I think record and report consistently is the best way. Don't let it drop.

I really can't imagine in such a situation tho, that a Black person would wonder if they're 'being too sensitive'...🤔

Thanks for the reply. Quite a few people agreed, it seems a couple thought I was offended for the dog (racism against a dog Confused) or it can't be racism because she said it to the dog?
It's the comment which I thought was racist, doesn't matter who she said it to.

The over sensitive part, (I'm not black, my DP is and DC are mixed race) I dont know if I've worded it wrong or how best to put it? I didn't know if I was wrong ? Reaching? Im not good at getting my words out properly, sorry.

@DeeCeeCherry
Sorry I didn't even tag you.
But I will take everyone's advice on board, there's not a lot I can do apart from report the noise, unless she does anything more direct.

As a black woman, I would absolutely find this offensive and racist. What a horrible woman

i Wouldn’t be okay with this including calling the dog a “black fukker”
my dog annoys me I call her a “little ish” not the mention of her colour.

when people are obsessed with colour of living things, it’s because they are racist

Hi Op
It's being racist by proxy

I wouldn't be susprised that this individual is deliberately being like that way to his dog,

So he can be openly racist in a sly manipulative underhand way,
He knows you will obviously over hear what he says,
But if anybody or you complain about this, being offensive,

He can say that "you are just one of those Woke warriors types who is far too sensitive about anything,
not up for a laugh like in the good old days",
(not PC),
When people could get away with all sorts of nasty stuff more easily,

Definitely complain to Authorities about what he is saying its unacceptable,
It's considered to be racial hate crime as your race is protected characteristic Op@Nctotalkaboutmyneighbour

Any luck with getting your complaint about racist next door neighbour addressed by relevant Authorities ?
