Just finished watching it and I am in pieces. Not usually one to cry at films but am sobbing. That ending 😭 What a loss to the world Chadwick Boseman is.

I haven't watched it but my kids went to see it and said the film was great and the tribute to CB at the end was emotional - even hearing about it made me well up🥲

It makes me really sad now when I watch anything with him in. He seemed like a wonderful person

It was such a great tribute to Chadwick - I wasn’t expecting to be so moved by it.

It's a fantastic film. I watch Everything Everywhere All At Once yesterday. I tried to stay with it but 30mins in I asked my DH if he's sure it's the film that got an Oscar. He said it didn't just get an Oscar, it got more than one. I kept watching, then slept off. Woke up and even he who loves sci-fi etc didn't finish it.
I don't watch films twice but will watch WF again and again.

I agree re EEAAO @Delectable. It was overrated and Angela was robbed of the Oscar!

@PinotGroggio I was being very conservative in my review above. Not worth a minute at all.

LadyKenya · 28/03/2023 14:20

I agree about Angela, I think that she should have won. I thought that Austin Butler got robbed too.

Yes, the film itself wasn't great but he was phenomenal as Elvis and inhabited the role far better than Rami Malek did when he won for playing Freddie Mercury. But the Academy does love performances that require actors to "ugly up".
