Seen this before from other sources so why are they trying to hide it?

"the British Empire depended on racist ideology in order to function, which in turn produced legislation aimed at keeping racial and ethnic groups apart”. It notes: “From the beginning, concern about Commonwealth immigration was about skin colour.” In the 1950s, British officials shared a “basic assumption that ‘coloured immigrants’, as they were referred to, were not good for British society,”

No, it’s not surprising.

I knew exactly what Britain thought of black immigrants by the time I was four years old - and I was gently brought up in the Home Counties. Legislation bled into day to day life.

From my own observation - before I had started school - no black child arriving from the Caribbean lasted longer than a few months in mainstream education before being carted off to ‘special’ schools.

As soon as I could read I knew that any black person taken into custody in England was likely to leave the police station dead.

I remember plenty more, too. The stress of carrying this knowledge, seeing it played out every day, trying to avoid being caught up in it, for more than half a century, is hard enough for one person. Multiply it by thousands …

I am not surprised by this either. What does get my goat is when some people try to make out how tolerant this Country is, and there is hardly any racism here. So tired of all the claptrap.

In hindsight I should have put a disclaimer to discourage white people from posting, so the trolls and squatters can see how great the British Empire was and understand we are still living with it's legacy today.

“This report does not represent government policy and the views included in it are those of the author who is a historian independent from the Home Office.”

Then who it? The only other possible commissioner is the royal family.

RedWingBoots · 31/05/2022 03:20

"This report does not represent government policy"

Nah it just states government policy for the past few decades.

This government is truly stupid as the Labour party who have been in government and have MPs who allowed the legislation through when in opposition are clearly implicated in this report, and are aware of it -

The British Govts past and present have done this many times to people not deemed" white" enough. Its ok to die for the motherland and rebuild it when its been bombed to buggery, but we don't actually want you living here.
