Hey hey hey!

Got my starter locs done yday....

I'll be leaving it be until I next hour for a retwist but my question is...

When I do start eventually washing on my own, can I still use a scalp scaler?

It's great, I love it, my hair and scalp do so don't really want to stop using it

Welcome to the loc world! I imagine you can start washing on your own once it's fully locked. I have free-form and don't use a scalp scaler (never heard of it till now...lol) so don't take my word for it.Grin

There are tons of videos on YouTube you can check out - I can't tell the style, texture and length of your hair/locs, so I'm not sure which specific one to recommend. You'll definitely find one for you. Goodluck, enjoy and rock your locs!

I plan to go back to the loctitian's for washes and retwists... but yeah once fully formed I'm just gonna stick with what I know best (I use black soap to wash and alternate washes with that and the scalp scaler) and just see how it goes!

Hello. I use the box that says Dudu Osun , and I also use a bar that has shea butter in it too, the brand is called Yes Essentials
