I don't feel able to write exactly what was said re the children Jamdown. It's not even replicated in full in the UK press ....including the Daily Mail.
In brief, a written exchange in which a police officer referred to his own father, claiming that he had fatally harmed black children. A short, but graphic, description of what he allegedly did.
There are more detailed references in the UK press to the What's App exchanges about women, which are vile and violent in content. ( As well as many other remarks which are disablist, anti semitic, racist ....all claimed to be "banter".)
I take your point about other police forces such as Africa, where there is a black majority, and as a black person, not having the same fear of racism.
However, I can't say, as a woman, that my dealings with Nigerian police officers was positive. Although some years ago now.
Racist no. Hustling for bribes and misogynistic, definitely. I didn't feel safe with them.
Who guards the guardians? The age old debate.
