This board exists primarily for the use of Black Mumsnetters. Others are welcome to post but please be respectful

We've had a fair few people landing lately, who, for a variety of reasons, bring nothing supportive to the table here, or worse.
For me, the breaking point came with the thread on our two murdered sisters being derailed.

Since then, not a day has gone by, without an ill informed, irrelevant, or even racist contribution, barging into disrupt.
BMN don't all think and hold the same opinions, but it's important that we are able to talk between ourselves, within our own space.

MNHQ have been back to me. There is now a pinned post on the Board. It's been shortened down, as it was a bit of a speech. Hopefully, the Board pin makes the point that: this board is black centred, and intended to be a safe space.

If there is a post or poster which is disrespectful /derailing, then the mods are happy to reply/explain the purpose and sensitivities around the Black Mumsnetters Board

Please report however, to draw matters to the mods attention.

So, can we see how this goes? The mods are happy to look at other suggestions if needs be, just send your suggestions to them via report or email. I'm just me, no one important.

When this Board is flowing, like in the Black Don't Crack threads it's a joy to me. This is why it's created. It's our Board, so please make a thread. After we fought so hard for it, let's keep it flowing.
