So I'm due to start my new job next month and I have received my induction pack. On one of the presentations it's states it's core values and beliefs are to be ambitious, brave and compassionate.
One of my interview questions were "we are looking into adding diversity as one of our values, what does diversity mean to you?"
My answer was along the lines of inclusivity, different races, gender, ethnic background etc....
now looking at the induction pack and it shows pictures of the board of directors there are more females than males which is a good thing to see women in senior management position. However, it did lack ethnic diversity. There was one female of an Asian background the rest were Caucasian.
Now to me this does not shoe diversity when viewing from an ethnic view point.
My question is your work place ethnically diverse?
Do you think they are aware of the lack of diversity?
How can I/you best support your work place to become more ethnically diverse?
