School uniform

Didn't know where to post this so will just do it here.

Basically I have 2 children in school, my oldest will be going into year 1 in September and my son will be starting reception.
I've been going back and forth on uniform, both my kids have been at the nursery within the school so I'm familiar with it. Both my children love to wear the school logo jumpers, if I even attempt to put the non logo ones on my daughter expecially she gets upset and asks for a logo one.

I don't have a problem with buying logo stuff, she still has 2 logo jumpers that are still in reasonably good condition from reception, my sons nursery logo jumper can't be saved though. I don't mind paying for new logo jumpers as the colours have lasted really really well and not faded unlike other non logos I've tried with my daughter in nursery.

The problem is, is that we are going to be applying for a mortgage next month and hopefully buying a house very soon. At the moment we don't know whether we are going to be staying in this area, it is most likely will be moving to another area and most probably end up having to change the kids schools. But we aren't 100% certain on this yet as we have a few areas in mind we're we are looking to buy one of them being this area where we are now.
Would you bother buying any new logo stuff? Even if we move to a different area and have to change their schools I know realistically it could take alot of time to get them places in a new school.

I keep thinking Ill just buy logo jumpers and donate them ( as the school is always asking if anyone has any old/outgrown uniform that can help others) if we do end up moving them. I'm probably over thinking it but I do like the logo jumper quality more than the supermarket ones.
My chulsrens school colour is red, could any one recommend any where that sells non logo stuff that the colours don't fade as soon as you wash them?

Hi @Zenab12
Have you looked at Sainsbury's Tu range for school clothing? Cheap, but quality is quite good.
They have red uniform still in stock.

How about just buying one logo'd one and a cheaper one as a backup?
That would reduce costs a bit?

When my younger children were at primary, there was a mum who had her own business doing logo embroidery. You could buy a sainburys/ Asda jumper, add the cost of the embroidery and still be better off than buying a “school” jumper. Maybe worth asking around your local area and seeing if anyone does that?

Do they sell second hand uniform through the pta?

Nothing wrong with contacting school and asking if you could buy/ make a donation for something from their stash

Has the school got a parent/teacher association. They often sell used school uniform!
