I am wondering how people on this board feel about the structuring of the news that the next artist featured on the fourth plinth will be Samson Kambalu?

I will be honest and say it strikes me as off that they seem to be leading with the trans art headline, which is not the next to be installed. But perhaps I am just reading too much into it?

No, you're not. Despite all the we're listening last year, this was a simple good news item. Supporting equality of mankind through art.
And, there are a damn sight more black and brown people!

What I mean is the title emphasis is wrong.

I agree. I went to see the proposed sculptures and the story around Samson Kambalu's word was really moving. They have made no effort to convey this and instead brushed over it to concentrate on the other work.

Unfortunately with news articles how they are written or more likely how press releases are rewritten depends on the journalists interests.

Journalists interests tend to reflect their background.
