Wow - I can feel the hurt she describes!

I believe one of the people she is referring to is Akwaeke Emezi. Akwaeke recently announced that they are non-binary rather than a woman, so I think that's why they went on attack mode towards Chimamanda. Totally uncalled for in my opinion, I don't think what Chimamanda said in her interview was wrong.
