I'm almost completely deflated by the results in England.

We're going to have these racists in power FOR SO LONG.

I need to just face it and make my plans, you hear.

Feeling the same Sugar! You’re not on your own

I’m just concentrating on my family and close friends, really lost interest in any civic duty. Couldn’t care less about “the general good”. This has been happening over the last few years. Started with Brexit and the racism unleashed in the run up and after the referendum. The election of a known racist was probably the last straw. So since then I’ve just disengaged. On paper, I would seem like a likely Tory voter based on income, etc, however it seems my race would be an issue for them.

The voter suppression in the Queen's speech today was a nice touch too. I'm beyond disappointed. Everywhere has it's problems but goodness this situation is unsustainable, socialism for big corporations, racism, voter suppression, jobs for boys, corruption, depleting services for children and young people, unaffordable housing - the list is endless

I gave my vote to a local Independent, who didn't have a chance of getting in, but I can't face voting for any of the parties.
Sigh... I feel weary with it all.
