Yes, this is the outrage

Aditya Chakrabortty has taken a scalpel to this fake dinosaur fossil of a report and put the bones of it back in the context they belong.
Thank God he has helped me find my outrage, the best antidote to my shocked powerless feelings of overwhelm.

Then there’s sheer sloppiness. At the beginning of the chapter on crime is the statement that “Class B drug offences [cannabis and the like] accounted for nearly half of prosecutions of almost all ethnic groups”: that is, including white people. On first reading, that seemed amazingly high: how can weed account for more court appearances than motoring offences or theft? Sure enough, the spreadsheet pointed to by the report shows that court prosecutions for class B drug possession were just over 1% of the total. When I asked the Cabinet Office, it admitted its mistake.
I had no intention of ever reading that report because Tony Sewell was put in charge. This article and specifically this paragraph, has further cemented my justification for not reading it.

Sorry to repeat myself but it’s outrageous isn’t it. Thanks for replying.
Micro outrages and macro outrages and clearly words just failing me here.

@NurseButtercup it's worth reading so if you help a university student even if is just proof reading you know how they shouldn't write unless they want to fail.

I very recently graduated and I really really have no intention of reading a poorly written report, especially after the scrutiny I went through when writing my own dissertation.
