Funnily enough, Dh stumbled across the Netflix "Who Shot the Sheriff" earlier and we were watching that without realising the significance of today. It chronicles the attempt on Bob's life and his self exile to the UK where he immersed himself in writing music and wrote the great Exodus album. He returned for the famous One Love Peace Concert in 1978 where during an electrifying performance (figuratively and literally - there was a bolt of lightning illuminating the stage at one point) he invited the PM and opposition leader onstage in a call for unity and peace
Loved him, he was mixed race but unapologetically black - would call "fiyah bun" on babylon system.
