Shaved my head

I normally have a shaved hair style but with lockdown it was growing into an unruly Afro which I am not diligent enough to look after. The barber shops are all closed and I wanted to see if I could shave my own head (sometimes DH does it for me). It felt liberating if a bit untidy! Has anyone else attempted this?

I shaved my hair a couple of years ago after being relaxer free for a decade and then making the mistake to try it again. I got burnt and my hair was limp and breaking. So after a couple of months trying to salvage it -I shaved it all off. Very freeing and felt amazing. If I felt like I could pull off the shaved hair look or just short hair I would so it all the time. I

Good for you OP! I havent done it but I would love to one day! Currently wearing my hair super short (relaxed) but can imagine the freedom of actually shaving it myself. But saying that, I'd also like to grow locs one day too.

I took the plunge and lovely it. I wish I'd done it sooner, but it's a big decision and I had a lot to consider.

I find that someone always makes an assumption based on how my hair looks however I wear it!
