Black people, racism and human rights - committees.parliament.uk/publications/3376/documents/32359/default/

It's from the House of Commons and House of Lords joint committee on human rights.

The main thing to draw from it is that there have been loads of previous reports covering different aspects but SFA has happened in implementing them.

Is it worth reading?

Reports are all good and well, if they were to act on their findings. This has not been happening. I am sick and tired of hearing when something happens (Windrush scandal) that a inquiry is being set up or whatever. The Government know what the issues are facing black people. They just do not care to do anything to improve the life quality of black people in this country. What happened to People caught up in the Windrush scandal was the final straw for me. How can we expect real change when the Prime Minister himself is racist.

Only useful to point out to people who pretend racism doesn't exist the government and public bodies including the NHS don't give a shit, which why black people take to the streets, go to the press and sue bodies like the Met police.

The government don't care about anyone. They have all been brought up in a rich spoilt world they have no idea about any normal peoples normal lives and daily struggles in their own country. We are all beneath them and their money 😢

And thanks @RedMarauder it's an interesting read. I saw a news clip on the bbc with Harriet Harman about this and I've been meaning to look it up.

And you're probably right that the most use it will actually give me is 'proof' in (mostly online) discussions. Because my 1st hand experience isn't acceptable when it goes against people's prejudices.
