Hi there. Good luck with your TTC. I have had multiple fibroids for ages. Had them embolized at 37 years. Embolization can affect fertility negatively. And they didn't get all of them a several contained to grow. At 38 officially started TTC and after two miscarriages had a DS. Now almost due with my second who is sort of a surprise as we were not actively trying and had sex once I think the month s/he was conceived. No one knows if my miscarriages were linked to fibroids since miscarriages are very very common. Most women TTC and give birth without even knowing they have fibroids. Fibroids are more likely but not always to affect conception if they are inside uterus and are changing its shape (not just size). So please don't stress too much. My fibroids were monitored during both pregnancies and they just grow a bit. In other women they shrink. In fact for my first 4 on one side shrunk and another 3-4 on the other grew. All the best

Thank you so much for your reply. I didn't seem to get notified of your response, instead I returned to this page and saw it.

I had a myoectomy around 7 years ago, but not all fibroids were removed. Subsequently they've grown and invited their friends!

I think next week my Gp will refer me to fertility. The referral was pending tests which have now been completed.

Hi OP. About 6 years ago i had severe fi roids such that the doctor told me it wluld be a miracle if i conceived. I had a myemectomy and conceived 16 months later. I still have fibroids and now have 2 children so it is possible.

So I had two vaginal births
After my kids I had it removed as it was HUGE
The issue I had with first pregnancy Was fibroid degeneration
It’s hard to explain but the fibroids got stretched by the pregnancy and it was agony
And - didn’t happen with second one

But if this happens please PM
Me , it’s treatable but was a really scary thing
And - it might not happen to you
