pandora She's clearly a weirdo - it's for women like her that we've had to put up CCTV in maternity wards! What a show-stealing caaaah!

Skater I am totally in awe of your encyclopaedic dildo knowledge. Thank you very much re: The New Look report!

As for the little girls, yes, getting them interested in horses has got to be way the way to go - and give the farrier/vet a nice cup of tea and an apology for the inappropriate flirting. Pony - jailbait is already talking about shooting grilling any potential suitor. He also sees where where Jozef Fritzl was coing from! (apart from the whole rape bit)

pandy I'm afraid cats like lovingly maintained borders and veg patches for to poop in becasue of the texture of the soil. sods law innit.

SkaterGrrrrl · 12/03/2010 13:41

Prefer a rabbit to a mamba myself ;)

"I have started to go 'ooof' as I sit down = latest symptom"

I have started to go rub my back theatrically with my fists, Cunty, like they do in the movies.

Happy Friday Silver - I was meant to have my appraisal yesterday but it was postponed - I wore my best top and heels and everything (and prepped what to say of course) Lots of preggies in my office too.

Agree with Cosmosis, all the NHS advice on cats is that they are fine, I have 2 gorgeous cats and am cuddling them as much as ever. Toxoplasmosis is only in poo or soil with poo and only in old poo - its not in fresh cat poo.

Am picturing a baby VAG with hairy ears.. my mum always says I was born looking like Richard Nixon. Thanks mum.

Definite Ginger baybees to include:

Curly Cossie Skater Ski (possibly)

SilverSky · 12/03/2010 14:15

husband has ginger sideburns and is a touch auburn "downstairs!", our nephew is also ginger. So i reckon we may have ourselves a ginger too.

Well announcing my news in my appraisal is bound to raise some eyebrows as i have been working here for, like, all of 5mins!

I am obsessed with eating! Just eaten 2nd pkt crisps!

Cosmosis · 12/03/2010 14:19

silver you have to have ginger on both sides, even then only 25% chance.

SilverSky · 12/03/2010 14:21

ps, horses do delay the interest in boys, at least til they reach 16, cos they iz down stables every weekend and after school, so dont have time or energy to hanker after boys! Tis my experience anyhoos.

I really fancy a samosa. M&S do some. Like an oversized one. I saw a chap in the q with one and now i cannae shake it from me mind!

CurlyCasperReturns · 12/03/2010 14:22

Appraisal also postpond here. Boss was expecting someone else (same initials), spoke to them, they weren't ready, so she scheduled in other work.

Now writing a user guide and realising there will be a lot of that before I go - a guide to how to do my job

SFF still on his deathbed. I;ve had three very-sorry-for-himself phonecalls already today...

CurlyCasperReturns · 12/03/2010 14:22

we haz not talked chastity...

SilverSky · 12/03/2010 14:25

cos in that case, We is having no ginger baybees then! Fanks for informing!

salander · 12/03/2010 14:28

love the horse distraction idea. looking back now i wonder how my folks survived with 3 girls in the house. i cannot imagine being as laid back as they seemed to be with us - i will FREAK OUT if i have a girl and have all the boy stuff to deal with. bloke is even worse than me, totally agrees with skis oh on the cellar thing. hmm indeed. however as i have nae idea whit am havin its all a tad academic at the mo.

pandy how ruuude of her! have you ever seen her with a toddler?

caspa i am going to watch the rugby tomorrow in ed - is this the one where you and bloke may have some issues??

right am off to see lovely friend and cute 4 week old baybee to goo over. huzzah.

re: gingerness:

Red hair is caused by a mutation in the MC1R gene. It's also a recessive trait, so it takes both parents passing on a mutated version of the MC1R gene to produce a redheaded child. Because it's a recessive trait, red hair can easily skip a generation. It can then reappear after skipping one or more generations if both parents, no matter their hair color, carry the red hair gene.

So based on my genetics knowledge from uni (limited cos I only did one module in that!) I would say you need to have relatives on each side who are red haired or carry the gene to be in the running for a ginger baby!

Which is why is unlikely that i will cos we got none either side... Although i would quite like one..

pandora69 · 12/03/2010 14:42

Ahaha! So we are mutants, then!

skihorse · 12/03/2010 14:43

sal/casper Jailbait is playing tomorrow in a NATO game then we're supposed to sit there (4 Scots) watching an England vs. Scotland game. It will probably not end well.

iggy Are you calling the gingers mutants? Girls - hold on to your ginger baybees, iggy's up for a stealin'!

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 12/03/2010 14:48

ski I haz green eyes and they is mutants too - I like a bit of mutation

SkaterGrrrrl · 12/03/2010 14:48

My mum was a red head before she went grey and Skaterboy's entire Scottish side of family is auburn so we definitely having a ginger. SkaterBoy also has pointy teeth, the poor child is going to look like a fox.

Silver I am also food obsessed and studiously ignoring the apple danish on my desk intended for 4 o clock. (chances...)

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 12/03/2010 14:50

M&S giant samosas rock.

skihorse · 12/03/2010 14:51

iggy jailbait has green eyes. Are you saying if we have a ginger green-eyed baybee it'll be King of the 'Tants?

haha skater - that's a great mental image!

OP posts:
iggypiggy · 12/03/2010 15:10

yeah ski tant baby

Let's do eye colours!
I have one sis with blue eyes and one with brown - I am green - which is mutant of blue. So...

Blue is recessive gene - brown is dominant - so can conclude my mum (green eyes) has blue/blue and my dad (brown eyes) has brown/blue to end up with children with our eye colours..

Therefore - i haz blue/blue - bloke haz blue eyes - so he has blue/blue - so baby can only haz blue or green eyes.

That is massively oversimplifiying things on the genetics front tho...

VoilaAnotherGimlet · 12/03/2010 15:27

Baby Eye Colour Calculator for us non-scientists. Though I can't remember what colour TSF's Mum's eyes are (he won't know) and I don't know whether to put sister's hazel eyes down as brown or green - think they are more light brown.

CurlyCasperReturns · 12/03/2010 16:02

Iggy is right. I have researched red headedness myself. We wotsit heads have mutant genes which must be carried by both parents for a redheaded child to result. But it's also down to the number of mutations on the chromosone. You need pretty much the full set to get a proper ginger. If you've only got a few abnormalities changes, you're likely to get other characteristics that come with carrot-tops, such as the freckles and ghostly skin, but with a different hair colour. But having the mutation on both sides is no guarantee. My parents both have ginger siblings, but neither of them is red - both blond as kids and went mousy as they got older. SFF was the same. This is why I iz expecting a wee blondie.

Redhead also have the fewest number of hairs on their heads, but the thickest individual hairs.

I have blue eyes, he has blue eyes. I think we'll have a blue-eyed girl.

Oh yes, it's divorce day tomorrow! C'mon the Scots! (shame half our team is still injured) But we do have the power of Murrayfield on our side

ski Try to enjoy. Shame you can't even live up to the drunken Jock reputation...

Cosmosis · 12/03/2010 16:18

"Redhead also have the fewest number of hairs on their heads, but the thickest individual hairs" I thought this was the other way round, they have most hair on their heads per inch?

also, they need more pain killers / anasthetic than "normos".

I think we're in for blue eyes then, his are blue mine are kind of grey.

CurlyCasperReturns · 12/03/2010 16:34

nope, redheads have the fewest scalp follicles - making hair grease less of a problem.

"People with blond hair typically have more hair (average 140,000 hairs) than the average brunette (105,000 hairs) or redhead (90,000)"

My hair looks thick 'cause of the curls, but when I straighten you can see that it is ridiculously thin and lank.

And yes, we are sensitive souls. Mind you, I reckon I don't take that many painkillers for "normal" ailments.

Cosmosis · 12/03/2010 16:48

TGO doesn't either as he says they don't do anything!

skihorse · 12/03/2010 17:15

VAG That link is brilliant thank you! It's saying 70/30 green/blue for us. So we're having a mutant!

Curly I can haz freckles & alabaster skin and my blonde has faded... so interesting what you say! I have extremely fine baby hair but there are lots of strands.

OP posts:
CurlyCasperReturns · 12/03/2010 19:21

Just did the calculator - 100% blue as expected! Cheers vag
