OK so the link didn't work!! It's a really nice maternity wrap dress...honestly! The code is 271.0091 if you want a look. One more go here!!

mummyhill · 23/06/2005 22:34

Ooh I have had some wonderful news today. Apparently my blood samples clotted before they could be processed so now i have to go and have them done all over again. Yipee time for being treated as a pin cushion lets hope they can find a vein!!!!!

Shayla1 · 23/06/2005 23:19

just having a moan. have had lots of time this evening to catch up and read through everyone's posts as DP the pig isn't speaking to me. He's sat on the sofa giving me the silent treatment because he's stressed about having to work in the hot weather! My feet are currently the size of balloons and had to see the midwife yesterday for a blood presure check coz I had a nose bleed all is well but she said to take it as easy as poss (great when you've got a 17 month old to run round after!)I asked DP for a little bit of help doing the washing up and changing the sheets on our bed this evening and he totally flipped and went on about the fact that I don't know what hot is should go and work in the bakery next to him in the hot weather! I wish he could experience what it's like to be pregnant in the hot weather was feeling fine up 'til last week then the sun appeared and everything changed!

KF glad all is well for you

MH sorry to hear about your blood tests hopefully they won't have the same trouble next time!

Sorry if I've ranted on a bit really needed to get that off my chest before I sit here and explode.

LadyLazarus · 24/06/2005 09:51

Shayla - sorry to hear your DP isn't being very supportive. Is he normally like this, or just having a moment? Here's hoping you will both feel a bit better over the weekend, as I think the weather's set to cool right down.

singleteenagemum · 24/06/2005 10:22

GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR not having a good day. Didn't get any sleep and now work is being an arse. Am now counting down the days till maternity, was really enjoying work until this morning grrrrrrrrrrrr want to hit something or just cry....why are men such tossers? They think they own the world. Doesn't help being half the age of all the men i work with grrrrrr and i;m senior to half of them, they just don't seem to understand that. Am not a happy bunny...grrrrrr

singleteenagemum · 24/06/2005 10:30

Sorry bout that ladies...needed to get it off my chest

RedZuleika · 24/06/2005 10:59

Sorry to hear that. Did something specific happen - or did someone just look at you sideways at the water cooler...??

singleteenagemum · 24/06/2005 11:11

lol just old men being old men, thinknig they can boss me around...when that's my job!!

Am a bit calmer now

moschops · 24/06/2005 12:03

here's another one not having a good day...........for no particular reason i feel really fed up and can't stop crying. its one of them days where i look at the cat and cry because she is so cute, i've turned the telly off because the adverts make me cry, i'm not at Glastonbury and i'm really missing it so that's making me cry, dp feels bad because he's at work and not here to give me a hug and so that made me cry..........pregnancy hormones anyone?

RedZuleika · 24/06/2005 12:09

Glastonbury's got problems anyway, hasn't it...? Three of the stages have been hit by lightning and tents are being washed away. Apparently. Indoors, watching the skies darkening, me...

moschops · 24/06/2005 12:58

the weather is not an issue for me at glastonbury.........but we were there in the mud last year and i knew i'd never cope with the slippy sliding aspect of it this year with bump.......but then i knew i wouldn't cope if it was a scorcher either so it just made sense not to go.........still miss it though as it is my annual get away, i totally relax and its nice to catch up with people i only see once a year at the festival.

and i learnt from experience that the media always exaggerate how bad it is on site, but have had a few texts from friends and it is quite bad at the moment.

it just started raining here and has cooled down a bit.......not much but a bit......

builders have cracked next doors guttering pipe (cast iron too, not cheap plastic) so am waiting for misery guts next door to notice........one more bloody expense we don't need......

has anyone else got no appetite......every day is a real struggle to get nutrition into my body. i really feel ill at the thought of food and this heat has just made me worse.

zubb · 24/06/2005 13:07

apparantly the 24th June is mean to be the 'happiest day of the year' according to some survey that they mentioned on local radio this morning!
Doesn't sound like it from all the posts - so hope your days all get better.

singleteenagemum · 24/06/2005 13:16

34 degrees down here, not peasant, just looked at the office thermometer and that's 29...no sign of the rain and no hope for it either. O well could be worse...actually no it couldn't

moschops · 24/06/2005 15:05

having seen photos of the biblical flood at Glastonbury i have now cheered up. even i couldn't have coped with that!!! judging by the pics i've seen i'd have drowned anyway, i'm only 5ft 3!

Katts · 24/06/2005 15:46

Ok since everyone's doing it I'm gonna have a moan too.

Nightmare day at work yesterday. Day before sign off and boss finally looks at designs and says no when everyone else has said yes. Didn't get paid because boss didn't send my invoice on to finance until 2 weeks after I sent it to her. Same boss accused me via email copied to others of something that I didn't do. Standard stuff really. But just wore me down and I ended up spending most of the night unable to sleep, crying, worrying that I won't have any more work between now and September.

So today I just feel out of it and boss comes up to me and says, oh yeah we probably will have work for you in July. Great. Stress a pregnant woman out for nothing.

And to top it all off I've just gone to my GPs to pick up my Fitness to Travel certificate which has taken them 2 weeks to prepare. (I'm flying to france tomorrow). So I trek up there in the heat. Pick up the letter and trek back to the bus stop. Get on the bus, open the letter and discover it's not a Fitness To Travel certificate but a sick note just stating my EDD!

Easy Jet require a Certificate after 28 weeks. And I'll be 29 when we return. I'm thinking I'll just say I'm only 25 weeks if they ask. How would they know the difference?

All I know is that I just can not be faced with going back to the GP, confronting the useless receptionist and probably being sent away empty handed again.

Argh! Moan. Moan. Moan.

PiccadillyCircus · 24/06/2005 15:52

The sky is getting darker in central London.

I am going home soon .

Sorry for everyone who is having a bad day.

Hope we all have a good weekend.

mummyhill · 24/06/2005 16:05

Woke to thunder bolts and lightening very very frightening me!!!!! Had loads of rain and now it has just turned humid. Temperature has droped compared to the last few days but now i just feel sticky. DD was scarred of the thunder till we told her that the angels needed to retake their driving tests as they kept crashing their clouds and that was what was making all the noise LOL well it calmed her down and made here laugh so never mind can go into the technical science bit with her when she is old enough to understand.

Been to the hospital and was lucky they couldn't find a vein in either arm so kept their needles away from them just stuck a butterfly in the back of my hand (painful but over quickly).

Hope you all have a good weekend. Think of me stuck behind a till at the local supermarket all day saturday.

ych · 24/06/2005 17:46

It's funny as I've had a complete crap day at work too! Felt very grumpy in the morning and hated being there, I'm sure I'm getting all the crap jobs no-one else wants to do. Was being kicked constantly, felt like the baby was having it's own mini Glastonbury inside my tummy! Anyway thank crunchie it's Friday, sorry Mummyhill I know you're working tomorrow. I've got a wedding reception tomorrow night, just wearing black trousers and top and glamming it up with pinky/lilacy shoes and accessories. Not really looking forward to it as is one of DH's work mates and only met a couple of the wives before. Will prob end up stuffing myself at the buffet and giving myself indegestion. Came home to a nice surprise tonight, DH had painted the baby's room! Still got loads to do to it but can see it taking shape. Better go just now. Hope you all have a good weekend.

Boompi · 24/06/2005 17:50

Can I add to grim day moans? Finally got to get some lunch at 4pm, 2nd day in a row. (Male) boss seemed to think I was being precious when I demanded to have a break after 7 hours of meetings/clinics back to back without stopping.
Felt like saying 'this is why I am going to work from home from 33 weeks' Another thing he cant understand. To top it off was asked to cover some of his duties today as 'the heat was giving him migraine' Grr...

andif · 24/06/2005 18:15

OOh, we're not happy bunnnies are we!!! I too have felt very very hormonal this week. Got v pissed off with a Mum at school who is SO manipulative - not interesting enough to go into, but when kids came out of school shrieking at me for stuff I have no control over, I finally lost it and burst into tears. So now everyone at the schoolgate thinks I'm an emotional wreck!
To cap it all, dh phoned from a beach in Cannes where he is supposedly at a 'conference' - thinking of sending him shopping at Formes there to get my own back!!! Asked him to bring back some olive oil, and you would have thought I was asking for the moon.... Talking of which, maybe there's a full moon and that's why we're all feeling miserable!? Of course being hot and pregnant with people constantly asking how we're coping has nothing to do with it.......

franch · 24/06/2005 18:57

Yup, grumpy and stressed here too ..... Glad to hear I'm not the only one!

RedZuleika · 24/06/2005 21:35

I think it's because it's humid and there's been a change in pressure. My dog's got a right strop on him too - and he can't possibly have pregnancy or management issues...

jofeb04 · 25/06/2005 19:02

Hiya all,
Ive hardly been about recently, got severe spd, still got another 14weeks to go as well!!!

Hope everyone else is ok. Take Care

diane77 · 25/06/2005 20:30

Hi everyone
I havent posted in a while as i am on a mad crazy effort to get the house sorted for baby's arrival so spare time has been at a complete minimum!! I am 30 weeks exactly 2morrow! I feel quite different this time around , i feel much bigger and baby can give a right sore kick dd from what i can remember was a little more gentle. I am at my wits end as i have already grown out of 2 pairs of maternity trousers, I thought those things were supposed to grow with you!!!

Shayla1 · 25/06/2005 23:29

sorry i started everyone off moaning! Dp not been such a pig since the other night. I forgot all about an operation he's due to have on Tuesday as well and though he's trying to be all macho about it I think he's worried underneath and that's why everythings getting to him.
Also Feeling those pregnancy hormones too burst into tears at a friends bbq earlier just coz I wanted to stay and DD was whinging for bed time I felt sooo stupid had to wear DP's sunglasses in the middle of a dark rain shower just to drive car out of car park so everyone wouldn't notice!Lol
