I bought it from Holland & Barrett but ask at the counter as my nearest shop kept the bottles at the checkout for some reason. Boots & superdrug do it too but you have to get in quick when new stocks arrive. H&B was the cheapest ive found though at £8.95. Its quite pricey but goes a long way.

This damn baby is driving me mad - still very quiet today . Did a kick chart yesterday and just scraped to 10 kicks by 4pm (MW said to count until 4pm and if less than 10 go to hospital and go on the monitor to check). Have been counting this morning since 6:30am, and up to 5 (although still kind of vague). Think I will go this afternoon regardless, just to put my mind at rest. Am off to France tomorrow for 4 days and would rather know it's all OK, than sit there worrying about it.

Starting to panic a bit about the wedding outfit situation. Franch - what was the weight of those Isabella Oliver wrap dresses? Was looking at them online, but am wondering if they will be too hot for an afternoon wedding at the end of July. Have started looking in non-maternity shops for voluminous dresses or tops that could go over a pair of white linen trousers (or would white linen trousers be a no no for an English wedding?? Think it's a bit more formal over here...).

Hope you're all coping OK with the heat - am starting to wonder if I should work an extra week or 2 just to take advantage of the aircon in the office!! But then again, maybe not...

Kiwifruit - think while linen trousers would be fine for a summer wedding. Saw this on funmum when I was looking for the links I posted yesterday -

Thanks for that Zubb - they look really nice, and I'll get more than one wear out of them (I have a number of 'worn once' wedding outfits in my wardrobe ). They're also in black, which is another option.

Midwife appointment went fine - BP was 100/60 so not creeping up yet . And no blood taken out of me yet - get to have that at my 32 week appointment to see the consultant (and discuss the possibility of another PPH and whether my possibly torn cervix last time might not be happy this time etc).

Hope your baby moves a but more for you Kiwifruit - these babies can be annoying can't they?

I am "working" from home.

Had better do some work.

KF - I would go if I was you, just for reassurance. It will put your mind at ease at least and thats what the staff are there for.

Hope you got some positive answers at the midwife KF.

I think my vertigo thing is totally different from 'dizziness', as do not feel at all light-headed, but every now and again the room spins a bit. Almost fell over from it today! My BP is not low enough to give me symptoms like that (or at least it wasn't last week), so not sure what the cause is...

About the stretchmarks - I haven't got any new ones yet (altho have plenty of old ones from before pg!). Have been using The Sanctuary body moisturiser, in a spray. It's got almond oil and vitamin E in, and seems to be helping

Went up to St Marys (haven't had my booking in appointment at UCH yet), and the midwife I saw was lovely (started wondering if I should have changed hospitals after all!!). She put me on the monitor, and it was all fine. In fact the baby started showing off and doing a few big kicks - typical !! . So that's a big relief - can got to France and relax now.

Sitting in front of our new fan, and it's bliss . We had house guests the last 2 nights, and we let them use it over night as they were sleeping in the living room, and couldn't have the window open during the night (we're so nice...) - will be great to have it in our room tonight!

Kiwifruit - I have an isabella oliver long skirt - great - but not in the heat. Heavy fabric that clings. Glad to hear all ok with your baby & hope you enjoy france.
Stretchmarks - have loads - plus some new ones - didn't know that there was room. I'm happy to have them. Got them first when 27 weeks with dd1.

Nope, I'm stuffed . Tend to be starving in the morning and not hungry in the evening.

Stretchmarks - no new ones as yet, just remnants from adolescence . Have been using Mothers Massage Oil from Neal's Yard.

Talk to you all when I'm back from France next week...

Morning everyone,

had a mw appointment yesterday, all is well with baby apart from he doesn't like the doppler that they use to hear his heartbeat, keeps pushing it away!

I don't think i've got any stretch marks yet, but i'm with Picalilli on this one, got some on my hips, but i think they were there before. I've been slapping on the coconut oil and lotion everywhere, i just have big ones on my breasts, not the prettiest site in the world but they still look good covered up! lol

When with mw yesterday she told me to count my kicks in a 12 hour period and if it decreased to 3/4 of that number to call the delivery suite. I can't really worry he's as lively as anything, probably doesn't hep that i listen to dance music with a heavy base line!

Have waffled on a bit sorry

morning everyone......another scorcher here!!

my surgery phoned yesterday to say my bloods came back and i am ever so slightly anaemic so my doctor has written me a two month prescription for iron and a blood form for me to have a test first week of Sept. i pointed out the receptionist that i am DUE that week, surely i will need a repeat test before then to make sure the iron is being absorbed properly and her reply was.....'i don't know, i don't think he realised it is an antenatal issue!'

so we have agreed we will leave it until next week when i have a midwife appt and check it with her. also not keen on iron tablets as they upset my stomach very badly.........

its noisy here today as we are having all the nasty concrete taken up from the front of the house......there's several layers and every time we think we've got to soil we find another layer! no wonder us and the neighbours have problems with damp on the relevant walls.

have (hopefully) secured funding for our new business venture so as well as getting to grips with a new baby i will be learning the ropes of new business.........will be a glorified secretary i think! but will be working from home so its ideal.....just hope it all works out. things will just be a bit tight money wise in the early days....

Glad everything's OK with the baby Kiwifruit, have a fab time in France (by the way, if you're normally a lager drinker I can recommend the Kronenbourg alcohol free)

Feeling so lethargic in this heat. Everything that needs doing needs lots of effort (re upholstering chair, painting baby room ...) so think will sit in shade with a book for the day.
Am also constantly hungry, but never know what I fancy. Been to midwife this morning and she said to avoid sweet stuff and bread etc coz of recurring thrush - I know the theory, but what am I meant to have with my coffee?? Cheese?! Otherwise all OK - can definitely have a canula for antibiotics during labour with Group B strep, so at least won't be tied to drip.
Went out with friend last night who had loads of my old baby stuff so I suppose I could sort that out .....can I be bothered......?
Keep forgetting to say welcome to all the new posters - there do seem to be loads of us - Christmas was obviously a busy time..

Morning ladies!
Have a great hol KF - mmm, fench bread, croissants and pastries...just a pity about the brie and pate, glad all's well with baby.
Moschops - glad to hear that you've sorted out the new business. You're very brave starting a new venture with a new baby. I looked into starting up a new business but chickened out when I found I was pregnant again. Have promised self I will look into it seriously again in the new year once new babe has (hopefully) settled in and I'm still on mat leave.
Have 2 fans aimed in my direction at the moment so quite comfy in office. Managed to get myself sunburned yesterday while supervising DD on swing and slide in garden. DD was covered head to toe in factor 50, hat on, of course. Didn't think I'd catch any sun, after all I was only out there for about half an hour...looking a bit stupid today!
Very disheartened after trip to Debenhams. My search for a size 18 non-maternity wrap over dress to wear to wedding/christenings was almost fruitless, except for a quite frumpy black and white number that I bought (only because it was so cheap in the sale). Will see what it looks like in a couple of weeks and if I still look like a fat pg duffer in a poorly fitting size 18 dress then it's going straight back!

oh, forgot to say, there were lots of lovely empire line wrap over tops in the Wallis dept that would have been fine if only I hadn't been wearing an industrial strength bra that showed under my arms!! So if any of you are looking for a nice top and boobs haven't expanded to unfeasible proportions requiring scaffold style boulder holders then try Wallis !

KF - good news - enjoy france.

Have days when I am ravenous and just graze all day and others when I dont eat much.

It is so hot - very thankful for empire line tee shirt tops from H&M Mama - smart enough for work and much cooler than rest of tops.

Hayfever is so bad though - actually starting to have a wheeze when I breathe and eyes swollen and red. Grrrr..

Andif - thinking about cranial osteopaths - when did you take your ds? You recommeded it didnt you?

Our amby hammock arrived from ebay yesterday - chose it instead of a moses basket - looks very snug, pity rest of nursery looks like a Oxfam shop's back room...

Boompi - with you on the hayfever thing. Have had to go and sit in car with windows up and aircon (with pollen filter) on for short while just to get some relief. Bit sticky though as leather interior very hot in sun .
Also have tops from H&M Mama. I like the cotton ones you're not supposed to iron - and cheap too!

Jessysmummy - saw this dress whilst flicking through catalogue..is this what you are after for your weddings and christenings? here's hoping I can do a link.
