Erika sorry to hear the contractions have stopped.. But they must have been doing something though, so hopefully when it comes to the real thing, you will already have done a lot of the legwork.

Sleepless happy due date! How old is DD? Does she understand what is happening?

We definitely need a baby soon - I was sure we would have one this weekend! Although I did read something bizarre which said 16% more babies are born on a Tuesday so maybe tomorrow will be the day!! Let's hope so!

Hey, did not post anything! Nothing to report really since yesterday, baby wiggling around and cervix bouncing, bit more of a show, a gradual thing so it seems, and not much else.

DD is still waking at 6am, but is sleeping through at least which she did not do 3 weeks ago. I shall enjoy that while it lasts (for a couple more days?).

Hope all is good with everyone, and that we hear some news from wook soon, and perhaps from some more people to say we have more babies here!

No news from me. Been cleaning out DH's and my car - is this weird nesting? I found two snails in my car. Yuck! Three black umbrellas, a mouse (of the computer variety), lots and lots of sweetie wrappers. I found some old nipple cream in DH's car!

That's dissappointing news about your contractions Erika but I'm sure they've had a big impact on getting your cervix ready!

Today is the first day in over a fortnight since I've had ds on my own all day so hoping sod's law comes into effect and labour starts at the most inconvenient time!

I'm feeling adventurous and am taking him to a play centre this afternoon. Come on fate- I'm tempting you, teach me a lesson !

For all of you who are overdue, it's best to keep yourself as busy as possible, otherwise you'll end up moping about the house which makes things seem even worse!

Lissy - one of my MWs said that happened to her one time during the day and she had to ring a friend to come round and haul her up again. Agree with TOK - perhaps we'd better keep our mobiles about our persons at all times. My DH will probably visit the vet too after this one. It's just a local for the blokes, isn't it, whereas we'd have to have a bigger procedure under GA and I think the op. is more reliable for blokes too.

Yikes, Lissy, I hope this next week goes quickly for you I have been thinking about getting the mini pill (or whatever it's called) - the one you can take while BFing. But I imagine condoms will be in the mix too. We're planning to have one more after this ("and a third one by accident", says DH).

Lissy I'm thinking a chastity belt!!! It appears that DP and I are super fertile too - I feel pregnant the first time we had sex - so probably condoms and possibly the mini pill as well. Not planning on having another DC for a couple of years thank you!

Am suddenly feeling very weird. A bit low, a bit confused, and incredably tired, even though last night was probably the best nights sleep I've had in months!

Have finally relented a removed my belly bar It was just getting a bit uncomfortable. Ah well. I made it to 39 weeks with it in without a problem. Just got to make sure I keep the piercing open now!

am annoyed, just got back from maternity unit for my sweep, and she said she couldnt do it as my cervix was too high. but the weird thing was she said she could feel the babys head. i didnt think that was possible, surely she would have had to have felt it through the cervix? confused.

Lissy I know what you mean about missing feeling manoeuvrable. It's just not fun. I actually delayed getting up this morning, despite being starving (latest thing) because I knew it would be a total palaver actually getting out of bed. I feel like a great big cow. Also had a v selfish thought that I hope breastfeeding does actually use up some fat reserves... My thighs and bum DEFINITELY never looked like this before, despite people saying I'm 'all bump', this quite honestly is not true!
