Hello girls,
Congrats scarlotti ! Love the name!
I meanwhile have jumped the op table again as baby has flipped like a good girl and the doctor(who said all this flipping was a first for him after 30+ years) broke my water so she can't be as swimmy. Am now hooked up to the drip for induction and have pleasant little contractions. She might flip during labour and end up as emsec, but at least I had my chance.
hobnob sorry to hear you too. I know what you mean about its being painful when they are in the wrong position, it's just clearly not working that way, is it. Whether or not cord prolapse is a potential problem will depend on the exact position of baby; when lo first flipped into transverse her spine was under my ribs, high danger of prolapse. 2nd time, her spine was on the cx, blocking it, so no danger. If it feels all empty between belly button and pubic bone, I guess, that's when the cord can come out first. Either way, if your water breaks, call them right away.
helips have a piece of the cake and never mind the stupid woman in the shop. People will ask at 14 weeks when one finally pops. I am sure you look glorious.
Talking about film star birthing plans, did anybody see that Oliver Twist adaptation where they have an actual newborn in the beginning?? Can't remember anything about the movie but crying because the baby was crying which seemed very wrong.
Ugh TOK about your pil. My mil just left yesterday, the day before we needed her do watch dd which left us in a bit of a mess what to do with the poor thing. Then she called from the airport and said she felt bad and could come back the day I should be out of the hospital. Thanks, but no thanks. I just needed her to be there for dd when I was IN the hospital, otherwise glad to be rid.
What's the Gordon Brown joke then?
