a first baby...in japan...docs are so uptight here....

found out 6 weeks pregnant....mornign after pill failed...woops.....going to keep...do lots of yoga and play netball and get regular massages, but yoga teacher has said get a note from the docs, the doc has said big no no to netball and today went for a massage and they wouldnt give me one...is this ott??? what is really safe in the first three months???
doctor couldnt see a baby on the camera, but right ovary was swollen...is this unsafe???

I answered on your other thread. I had a swollen right ovary after DD conceived. It was just a corpus luteal cyst and was gone by the 12 week scan.

Advice in NZ/Aus/UK re netball is that it's OK up until 12 weeks, but after that it's a no no. I kept playing up until 15 weeks as I didn't know that, and was working on the basis that I was far more likely to bashed in the belly on the tube in rush hour than I was on the netball court!

You do need to be careful about massage - think you have to avoid shiatsu particularly (not sure why) - probably best to see if you can find someone who specialises in preggy massage.
