Anyone else due April 2010?

I just found out yesterday I'm 4 weeks preggers after trying for our 2nd baby for a year and half, at last!! It seemed as though it was never going to happen!

Here's to the next 8-9 months!

Hi, please can I join? EDD 14th April and I feel VILE. Everything is making me feel sick - even weird things, like hotmail and the novel I was in the middle of, to the point where I have had to hide the latter. Eating bland things like toast and potato about every 2 hours is the only thing that makes me feel human. I got up at six today just to have some bran flakes.

Anyway, hello all - and by the way its great to see a dad on the board.

familygirl · 18/08/2009 17:28

Another one due in April here, about 5th I think. Have 3 already so bit overwhelmed by the idea at the moment! Felt ok til just before 7 weeks, now feeling sick a LOT! Bizarrely Fanta seems to help! (and I'm not normally a fan of fizzy drinks-weird!)

thedollshouse · 18/08/2009 17:28

chowmein, I was wondering whether it might be the prenatal vitamins that are making me feel so well too!

tostaky · 18/08/2009 17:58

well, i take prenats too and i dont feel so good!!!

Welcome everybody and congrats on all those BFPs!!!

chegirl · 18/08/2009 19:35

Hello and welcome to all the newbies!

I am feeling BETTER today!!!! Woop woop! I had some jerkyshiverynightmarypanicky stuff this morning but nowhere as bad. I woke up a lot but managed to get back to sleep till 7am!

The difference in me is amazing. I hope it lasts but even one day's break is something. Went to GP today. I am going for booking in on Friday. A bit sooner than I wanted to but at least it will get it out the way and my scan booked.

I have to confess that I avoid all contact with medical environments if at all possible. I find them very stressful and will be requesting another home birth. My DD had cancer for two years before she died, I cannot bear to be around hospitals. Makes the whole having babies thing a bit tricky but I managed very well last time!

This will be my 5th. DD would be 17, DS15, DS6, DS19mths. Like some of you others I have come over all wobbly about it all!

I hope very much that those of you who are feeling rubbish come through very soon. I very much hope that I will continue to feel ok too
Oh I have a provisional EDD of 10th April.

LeeWT · 18/08/2009 20:04

Have updated the newbies just shout if i've missed someone..

welcome belfastbloke, i live there too and dd is 2.. my ass currently being kicked by this bean tho i dont mind so much as i recently had mc so am hoping its a good sign!

dollshouse i just did my last clearblue to make sure it was 3+ weeks and it was. mind you ive plenty of symptoms between hunger, nausea, night sweats, feeling cold and crazy nightmares..

pregphantomplopper you must be so strong to look after your little one and it must be so worrying and stressful being away from your DH and worrying about him. you are a trooper and we're here for if you're feeling down for whatever we can do..

DD is being an absolute ratbag and being deliberately bold, maybe coz she knows how wrecked i am

Myself and DH are having crazy thoughts about trying to move house. Someone slap me!

Wow, so many newbies - hi everyone and congrats on your bfp's!

Glad you are feeling better chegirl

LeeWT do by all means move house but do it now if you're going to and DON'T accept an offer on you place when you are 8 months preggers and then have to move out when the baby is 6 weeks old (like we did when dd was born)!

vixma · 18/08/2009 20:40

Congratulations!

chegirl · 18/08/2009 20:44

thanks Wellie .

However I now feel really sick because my OH has decided to oil the the bloody worktops. The whole house STINKS

wellieboot · 18/08/2009 20:50

oh no - yuk! I feel sick thinking about it (well i'm feeling sick anyway, but even more sick). At least it is summer so you can keep all the windows open!

Neeko · 18/08/2009 20:59

Hi all and welcome to the newbies. i'm struggling to keep up on here.
I had an early scan today and all is well we saw the heartbeat and baby is measuring 20mm which they say is 8 wks and 6 days. I know when I ovulated but I won't argue for now
I'm having another reassurance scan on 3rd September due to MMC last time and my dating scan on the 17th. So far so good.

oops. Clearly so relieved, I posted twice

Zeeky · 18/08/2009 21:19

Hi!

I'm currently 5+1 so EDD is April 21st.

Found out a week ago and still a little in shock. Got a DS who will be 2 next week. It took 15 mths to conceive him so were prepared it to take a while this time too, but only 2nd month of trying!!!!

Keeping it quiet at the moment until we get the all clear at the 12 week scan. This has been really difficult as had in-laws staying last week, visited my sister for the weekend and am now visiting my parents!! Sods law eh!!

No major symptoms yet apart from feeling tired (but that may just be that I have been really busy for the last week) and waking early as need a wee (don't normally have this problem!!) I had no morning sickness at all with DS so hopefully won't get any this time either.

Zeeky xx

bumble75 · 18/08/2009 21:22

Another newbie! EDD is 23 April so v. early days for me. Saw the gp yesterday to get onto the system and passed over to midwives, don't think booking in will be for a while yet.

No ms for me yet, but boobs SO sore and can barely stay awake, I forgot how exhausted I was when pg with dd...

Have added myself to list (and now off to bed!)

Prisci · 18/08/2009 22:18

Hi everyone,

Like many of you feeling like hell . I am so so tired, nauseous and hot. We currently live in Bermuda, sounds great but the weather is so hot and humid at the moment and DS1 (16 month), is being so dynamic but we cannot go out, as we found out he has a skin bacterial infection which his contagious to other kids. He has two showers a day at the moment since it is so humid, I just can't beleive it.
On top of that DH has a huge project at the moment and working long hours etc...but he is being very supportive at night as DS is waking up a lot since we came back from holidays. Ican't comfort him at night since he would want to breastfeed but we are trying to wean him, which is not going well either. DH is also having some kind of flu symptoms, so we are both so exausted. Sorry about the rant, on the plus side, I am having a scan next week to check everything is going well as we had a miscarriage last February. I am also having visions of twins, which is completely crazy since neither of us as any history, the scan should settle that .

chowmein · 18/08/2009 23:06

hi, thx for adding me to the list. gd to see so many ppl here, esp ppl with experience. and congrats to all the bfps, and positive scans! can't talk to other ppl, DH would think i worry too much! it's easy to me not to tell ppl tho, i dont drink (can't as have v low tolerance)or smoke anyway. only thing i cut down on is coffee and general junk fd.

thedollhouse, i was thinking about buying another pregnancy test too, just to check, but they r quite expensive, so maybe not. what will be will be, testing doesn't change anything i guess, am in zen mode, but might change when i walk pass any pharmacy . i do think i m normally a bit anaemic (tested when i was a child, and was ok afrer taking tablets), so maybe the prenatal vit does help. my gp's prescribed folic acid, but since i m fine on the one i m taking, i'll keep taking it.

btw, is anybody putting on weight yet. i feel bigger already round the waist, surely that is too early, i haven't pigged out tho.

april20 · 19/08/2009 08:52

I cant see myself on the list! Does anyone know the earliest you can see when you can tell the sex?

Snowtiger · 19/08/2009 08:56

April20, I think it's about 14 weeks - we're going to have a gender ident scan this time around (didn't bother with DS, I knew 100% it was a boy!) and the place we're looking to go to offers them from 14 weeks but recommends them from 16 I think, as you get a higher chance of them getting it right!

stinkypinky · 19/08/2009 09:13

Hi Zeeky! Glad you are ok,
Stinky

thedollshouse · 19/08/2009 10:00

I feel bigger round the waist too. In fact it was a podgy tummy that made me suspect I was pregnant with ds, although I managed to convince myself that I was going through a very early menopause and had developed a middle age spread.

Its funny last time I tried hard to conceal my pregnancy and left wearing maternity clothes until I had no choice, whereas this time I am really looking forward to wearing maternity clothes, I need some new clothes for autumn so I think I might have to treat myself to some new maternity jeans! Is it crazy to wear maternity clothes at such an early stage? I just don't seem to have much room in my current jeans.

fifisboys · 19/08/2009 10:29

Welcome to all the newbies...the list is huge now

I have my booking in appointment this morning, it was originally booked for 9th sept but i will be 11 weeks by then and then i would have to wait even longer for my scan so rang up to see if it could be changed, i did say that i wanted my bloods done early as i suffer with back aneamia and im forever on iron tablets, so mw is coming at 11 this morning

Thedollshouse I went and bought some maternity jeans at the weekend..my normal jeans were so uncomfortable, i've got a bump already but dont know if its coz its my 3rd baby, or if im having twins Im about the size now that i was with ds1 when i was about 16 weeks

fifisboys · 19/08/2009 10:30

BTW i dont know if im having twins..its just s strange feeling with me being so bloated!!
