The inside of my belly button is really sensitive. I can't bear touching it when it's on the outside.

Mine actually popped out a couple of weeks ago. I am HUGE!! People keep looking at me gone out when I tell them I'm not due till December, they expect me to say baby will be here in a couple of months tops apparently.

Then we get the "are you sure there's only one in there" jokes.

I look like a weeble

AmazingBouncingFerret · 24/08/2009 10:29

Im already having people asking how long ive got left to go...
NO YOU SHOULD STILL BE ASKING ME HOW FAR ALONG I AM! (not that I feel strongly about it or anything... )
And the "not long now" comments that are accompanied with insane grins
I usually reply with "yes its not long till Christmas is it" Thats usually met with looks of horror!

And yes, if anyone even thinks about touching my bellybutton (yes I mean you DH, when you decided it would be fun to flick it the other night) you will be castrated.

Scorps · 24/08/2009 10:46

Are all your bumps huge? I don't think mine is....and its dc4! I shall have to put a pic up later!

Milliemuffin · 24/08/2009 12:50

My belly button sticks out aswell and DP likes it but I think it looks horrible

Is anyone else starting to think how am I going to love a second child as much as I love my first? Our little man is just great, he's gorgeous, he's funny, he's clever, he's nice natured, he really is lovely, I just wonder how I could possibly love another as much as I love him...

Scorps · 24/08/2009 12:54

Millie, everyone wonders it, i have wondered it each time and wonder if i will love another girl as much. But your love for DS doesnt need halving; you grow that much more love and its always fine.

Got a gorgeous snowsuit from EBay for dd2 today, for £5.19

madmissy · 24/08/2009 13:34

yep i cried when i found out i was pg with dd2 as felt awful on dd1 and didnt think i wld have the love there! so perfectly normal! not had that feeling this time as i know i have

yep my belly getting big now loving it

GoldenSnitch · 24/08/2009 14:03

ABF - That's it - exactly!

People have been asking me how long I have left to go expecting me to say "oh, only a few weeks" or something and when I reply with "baby is due at Christmas" they look at me like I'm some sort of gross alien!!

It was quite funny when the lady who runs Toddler Time said it though and then tried furiously back peddaling when she realised I was quite upset about it

madmissy · 24/08/2009 14:53

anyone else hot bothered and fed up today? or just me its soooo muggy and warm

sparklycheerymummy · 24/08/2009 16:14

madmissy · 24/08/2009 17:14

roll on girls bedtime.............

Mybox · 24/08/2009 20:14

Have got alot bigger in the last two weeks & will have to see what maternity clothes will fit. I'm trying to find long skirts as I have to wear compression tights for circulation problems & they are very thick so trousers not possible. Any ideas on maternity mail order for long skirts very welcome.

sparklycheerymummy · 24/08/2009 20:15

not sure but i got loads of stuff from ebay!!!

Mybox · 24/08/2009 20:16

Thanks Sparkly - I've looked on ebay & can't find anything!!! I'm a size 16/18 plus when preg and need a skirts 32/34 inches or longer.

sparklycheerymummy · 24/08/2009 20:26

I am same size but i dont really do skirts..... i got a bundle of 16 items for 25 quid. What about bloomin marvellous???

Mybox · 24/08/2009 20:31

Sparkly - What a good deal - I'd be so pleased to find something like that! Plus lucky you to be able to wear trousers - so much easier.

BloomingM still have their sale on atm & all the skirts are shorter and really nice but with my legs, small kids (& also puppy!!) not a possibility. JoJoMBebe have a long skirt but it's quite fitted so tricky with sitting on the floor. Hoping that long skirts are going to be the thing this winter....

sparklycheerymummy · 24/08/2009 20:59

can you not wear tights under the trousers???? I need the support of the pouch in my trousers at the mo!

madmissy · 24/08/2009 21:07

i won a bundle of fab topshop stuff loads there for £15 plus £5 post and last night won this!

sparklycheerymummy · 25/08/2009 09:59

Has anyone got their health in pregnancy grant through yet .... just wondering how long it takes. spending mine on a mum to be pamper session which my mw thought was a very good idea.... she said mental health and feeling good is as important as physical health. i felt better for not spending it all on fruit and veg then!!

GoldenSnitch · 25/08/2009 10:58

I feel like crap again today - really can't wait to get the next 17 weeks over with and get this baby out!

Mybox · 25/08/2009 11:55

Thanks madmissey - I'll have a look.

I wish I could wear the tights under trousers but it's so hot and uncomfortable. The tights are medi brand compression so are so thick and tough you can even get a device to help you get them on!!! The part at the top holds in my tum abit as I have a circulation problem at the top of my leg as well. Docs thought it was a hernia but turned out to a vein bulging between my ligaments there - sorry if tmi! I have lots of maternity trousers as well- ahhh!!

On the look out for long dark coloured skirts that look fab!

Mybox · 25/08/2009 12:00

MAdmissey - thank you. The skirts in size 16 & 18 look perfect.

Catz · 25/08/2009 12:31

OK I have a really dumb dates question - please humour me because it is driving me mad! If you are due on 4th Dec how many weeks along were you on 21 August (Fri just gone)?

Every time I see my m/w we have this ridiculous conversation where I tell her how many weeks I am and then she says I am 2 or 3 days earlier than I think. So I saw her on Fri (21st Aug) and I said I was 25 weeks. She said I was 24+4 and didn't want to give me the health in pregnancy grant form. I am sure I am right. The 4th Dec is a Friday, the 21st Aug is a Friday, exactly 15 weeks before the 4th Dec so I was 25 weeks exactly that day. She has one of those little wheel things and I'm wondering whether it is confused by the fact that my LMP was in Feb and it's a short month...

I know in the grand scheme of things it doesn't matter but we always have this stupid row about it at the start and I look deranged insisting I am further on than I 'really' am!

BexJ78 · 25/08/2009 15:12

Hi Catz, you will be 25 weeks. You are almost the same as me, i am due on 5 Dec.

My MW said I would get my grant form next time I go (for my 28 week appt) so won't be getting the dosh any time soon! have no idea yet what i am going to spend it on, but i know one thing, it won't be fruit and veg, that's for sure!!!

BexJ78 · 25/08/2009 15:13

sorry should have said, will have been 25 weeks....
