pmsl

i love them in grows at that stage or all in ones

Scorps · 10/08/2009 16:46

I would love my dd to have a fake fur waistcoat at newborn

I remember i got lots of clothes for ds1; how silly. Babygros are so cute and comfy and easy, i dont get them dressed for 4 months lol. i have been getting things on ebay too, got her a little wadded next cardi/jacket, 99p and a knitted next romper (£3.25).

Saw a gorgeous sleepsuit for dd today, but it only starts at age 3 months...hmm, will i need one March/April ?

Thankyou sparkly, i am hoping we can work through it but it seems such a huge mountain to climb, with a timescale of before the baby is here.

Hope everyone ok.

Scorps · 10/08/2009 16:46

not sleepsuit, SNOWsuit, starts from 3 months

GoldenSnitch · 10/08/2009 16:48

Here here for the babygrows. I think theyre pretty much all DS wore for at least 6 months! So comfy and easy to move in (plus wash and change!)

Had my consultants appointment today and was told my the midwife who cheked my blood pressure etc beforehand that given my size (I'm 5'1" (152cms) and quite petite) she's not suprised I had trouble carrying and delivering a 52cm, 7lb 9oz baby. She said that all the issues with my delivery were probably due to him being just too big for me and that in her experience, I'll probably end up in the same position next time and she would suggest a section.

Consultant seemed to agree (esp when she asked me about my previous birth and I burst into tears) so it looks like I'm going down the elective route...

I'm actually quite relieved!

Scorps · 10/08/2009 16:50

As long as you're happy, it would be horrid to try so hard at VB and have to have an ECS.

ECS terrifies me.

FedUpWithRainyDevon · 10/08/2009 17:33

Hello - Devongirl here with a name change

GoldenSnitch, glad you are relieved, it's good to have a plan. Would that be at 39 weeks? I am still going to try for the VB but it's good to know the planned CS is an option too.

Scorps, you sound incredibly strong, I'm glad you are trying to work things out. Don't let him off too easily though of course, I know you already know that. It's almost the easy option to tell him where to go and so many people say that without knowing all the ins and outs but at the end of the day if you CAN work it out and he knows what he's got then that's got to be the best solution for everyone, as long as it's what you want.

I'm getting kicked relentlessly at the moment, especially my bladder which is making me need the loo every 5 minutes - anyone else like that?

AmazingBouncingFerret · 10/08/2009 17:38

yup Devon, baby is currently using my bladder as a trampoline.

Im also starting to suffer horribly from heartburn.

GoldenSnitch · 10/08/2009 18:20

I'm guessing it'd be 39 weeks Devon - more because I doubt they'll be scheduling sections for the Christmas week than any health reason. My friend is having an elective in 9 days and she had to fight for a section before 40 weeks.

Won't know for sure until I get an appointment which won't be until 32 weeks - 2nd November...

Glad it's over and I can concentrate on getting excited about our scan tomorrow - hopefully we'll find out what we're getting

ViktoriaMac · 10/08/2009 23:48

Thanks Scorps, hope you're doing okay.

In the end my scan took an hour and a half as I had a trainee sonographer who was being supervised and also my blood pressure dropped massively whilst lying on my back so had to get up and have a break half way through. All is good with the LO though, and he is showing up in the top 80th percentile for all his measurements v his age.

Good luck to all having scans this week.

LaDiDaDi · 11/08/2009 09:28

Pleased to hear some good scan news coming through.

I'm feeling very anxious waiting for my scan tomorrow. I'm convinced that they will pick up a major problem. Don't remember feeling this worried with dd.

ViktoriaMac · 11/08/2009 13:15

I meant top 20th percentile . Pregnancy brain!

GoldenSnitch · 11/08/2009 13:38

Scan done - Baby Snitch has two arms, two legs, a brain, a beating heart, a stomach and no sign of a willy at all!

Looks like we're getting a little girl

damnitdamnit · 11/08/2009 14:12

hi everyone not been on mn for weeks, i have been addicted to farm town on fb

anyway just thought i'd say hi and do a quick update. had my scan a few weeks ago and am expecting another girl.

good luck to those with scans coming up this week, hope you get what your hoping for if your finding out.

quick question to those with toddlers already, are you buying a double pushchair or just hoping they will learn to walk further, i am trying to encourage my dd to walk but she has never wanted picking up so much.

GoldenSnitch · 11/08/2009 14:37

Double buggy here... Ds is a runner

Scorps · 11/08/2009 14:40

double buggy here, dd is only 15 months.

Yay to two more girls, goodness we are a girly lot

Anyone spilling their baby's name/s ideas yet??

AmazingBouncingFerret · 11/08/2009 16:49

Yay snitch a girl! congratulations!
Am I correct in thinking you have a boy about my DS's age, 2 and a half?
Viktoria lucky you getting a trainee, you got longer to stare at the baby, I would of loved that but I was literally in and out 20 minutes.

GoldenSnitch · 11/08/2009 16:59

That's right ABF Will now have one of each - just like you

OOh, one other thing I found out today is that I have a low lying placenta. Means I get another scan at 36 weeks to see if it's moved. I had heard they were common with previous c-sections but the sonographer said she wasn't sure...

madmissy · 12/08/2009 08:44

looks like my baby boy is getting left out lol

AmazingBouncingFerret · 12/08/2009 09:46

Lol your baby boy is going be like my DS surrounded by little girls (at the chuildminder) and getting bossed about all the time, he's only 2 and a half and he's already perfected the 'what does she want now sigh' bless him.

madmissy · 12/08/2009 11:10

ahhhhh bless him!

missDiddles · 12/08/2009 14:07

Had my 21 week scan yesterday and it's a boy for us. I'm hugely excited now, am entering loads of competitions to win nappies and stuff!

Have also signed up to aquanatal classes that start next week, hoping to make some local Nottingham mumfriends!

Beffnal · 12/08/2009 15:44

Goldensnitch I've got a low lying placenta too and have just read your other thread about it. I found this link really useful and reassuring amongst all the other scary stuff on google!

BlueChampagne · 12/08/2009 15:58

Mine was low-lying at 20 weeks with DS so had a late scan, by which time it wasn't a problem.
