Child benifit - can you now claim when your 29 weeks pregnant??

Pretty sure you need to send off the birth certificate to get child benefit.

You can claim for the new maternity lump sum payment though of £190.

Thats from 2006 - think it was changed to the lump sum payment of £190. You can apply for that once your midwife gives you the form post-25 weeks.
