Afternoon ladies - woweee! congrats to all the new mums... i really hope i give birth on this thread but reckon baby bicnod might hang on in there til the bitter end... i'm 39 weeks today and going for check up on wednesday to see if baby's head has engaged (hadn't last week)...

So... on Planet Ginger, I am having a serious wobble about HB. I have no idea whether I am doing the right thing or not and may change my mind. (Now that wehave got rid of a chair to cover the dining room in bits of birth pool which DP has just worked out a strategy for filling.)

Any thoughts?

Also.... still trying to resolve the weird breast issue - a hospital appointment this morning led to YET ANOTHER tomorrow... which I hope I will be able to keep.... but something is happening in my back - probably nothing. Just feels a bit periody. That means days to go, yes? yes?

Ginger you can change your mind right up to the day so why not see how it goes in the early stages and see what you feel like at the time - you don't have to make any decisions now!

You should be ok if it's just period-type pains but everyone is different - fingers crossed for the breast issue - do they have any more idea of what it might be yet??

Hi BB, I think they are hoping it is just changes caused by pregnancy but they are ruling out nasties properly. I did not ask too many questions today because I knew that the answers would only be maybes pending the appointment tomorrow and I didn't think it worth getting in a state about maybes. Also I am NOT googling!

I just wish we could have done this 8 weeks ago instead of it being all mixed up with my due date... also I can't finalise my insurance as it is an unresolved health issue which would invalidate it, which is bugging me as I started trying to get that sorted ages ago but admin mistakes means that it is still dragging on and now I can't sign anything ... GGRRR

BB, my parents have visited twice already - & I think we're going to Brum on Saturday afternoon (after PIL visit) so they can babysit for a couple of hours whilst we go out for a meal in celebration of DH's birthday. Considering how disapproving they were when I told them I was pregnant they're rather smitten Especially my mum, who's actually broody!
