motherof2boys · 15/06/2009 10:16

Hi all - just come back to you after sad time. 19 week scan showed baby had just died - end March. Battery of tests showed no reasons so we rely on faith and accept that some things are outside our control and that actually having a baby is a big deal and a miracle that it ever goes right (which of course it usually does).

Am actually pg again already so trying to be postive.

With very best wishes and hopes for you all. August is nearly here.

duchesse · 15/06/2009 10:48

Hi everybody I just won the double buggy I wanted on ebay .

I am soooo hoping its going to be alright when it turns up, the last buggy I bought on ebay turned up absolutly minging and smeared in farleys rusk, the woman had put in the ad that she had been using it for her 6 week old ??? I don't think so!

I can't be that unlucky twice

Hello

Mumto2boys-- nice to hear from you, so sad to hear of your loss, what a terrible time you've had, so unfair.
Hope you can relax and enjoy your new pregnancy, CONGRATULATIONS,How many weeks are you now? I used to be on the pg after m/c thread, and it was so supportive and helpful.

Yankin-- good on you for getting rid of that midwife, you don't need her. I sacked a midwife in labour, well dh did, she was so barky and rude, and incompetent. you need to find people you click with.

Oonaghbhuna---WOW 14th july you have a date for your baby, how exciting.

yesterday the baby seemed to move down lower, loads of pressure now lower down, and I even seemed to have some contractions, braxton hics but scary none the less, i'm not ready for this baby yet.

VJaybigpants · 16/06/2009 09:47

Morning, my spd is really painful today but I find that it comes and goes, somedays I have it and somedays it's barely there, is that how the rest of you experience it?

It's so nice up here today I'd love to sit outside, but a) I'll get too hot and grumpy, and b) I've got too much studying to do.

HellHathNoFury · 16/06/2009 10:32

Vjay, my SPD is really good today.

I think it's different for everyone but I have found if I don't:

push heavy 2 year old in pram
push heavy supermarket trolleys
hoover/mop floors
run
side-step etc
commute on london underground daily

it's actually pretty good and I feel almost normal!!

VJaybigpants · 16/06/2009 10:39

thanks hellhath, I can't seem to pinpoint mine down. It hurt when I went to bed last night . then all through the night plus I had lots of cramps in my legs last night.
Oh well! My mw has just rang to say my iron levels are low, I rang 2 weeks ago to say how tired I've been, but atleast I've got some iron tablets coming now

Hawkmoth · 16/06/2009 13:42

Sorry to hear your sad news mo2b, hope all goes well for you from now on in.

Now I'm off work my daytime SPD isn't too bad. I'm not getting in and out of cars, rushing to get dressed etc. Nights have started to get bad though. Part of me longs for the super kingsize I had all to myself last time where rolling over actually meant rolling like a log and not lift-grunt-roll-tuck-ow-collapse-ow.

DD got stung by a bee yesterday. She won't tell me what happened so I suspect she picked it up and gave it a good squeeze. I honestly have never heard a noise quite like the shriek she let out. Blood-curdling doesn't touch it!

VJay hope you soon start feeling better. It's horrid being anaemic.

Well, back off to the kitchen. Making honey cake and chicken casserole (of sorts) for tea... although considered a boycott when DP texted last night with "Oven on please". Hmm!!!!!

quixotic · 16/06/2009 16:23

Ah Hawkmoth being at home sounds so much better than being at work.

Vjay I started to take iron about a week ago and already feel 100 times better, I was SO tired - hope the tablets kick in soon.

Off to an event at the Benefit shop tonight, canapes and makeovers - hopefully I will emerge a new woman ! Last time I had a makeover DH could not look at me til I washed my face as he said I looked like a drag queen (admittedly she did put blue eyeshadow and a lot of foundation, a huge change from my usual no make-up at all look!)

VJaybigpants · 16/06/2009 16:32

I was going to ask how long the tablets take to kick in, I take it it's about a week?
hawkmouth your dinner sounds so yummy, I just don't have the energy to cook like that at the mo.
quixotic have fun tonight,

Hawkmoth · 16/06/2009 18:21

Dinner was alright... got cramp in BOTH hands making the cake!!! And had to sit down afterwards!

Have fun tonight Quixotic. Take heart that I spent an hour today ridding myself of man-eyebrows and DP hasn't noticed at all.

OonaghBhuna · 16/06/2009 22:37

Hawkmoth I like the sound of honey cake yum! I have man eyebrows I cant be bothered to pluck or wax at the minute.

I am really uncomfortable, the baby is kicking hard and its sore.My community MW is calling tomorrow so I am looking forward to having a chat with her. I walked up to school to collect DD! and it flet like someone was stabbing my in the pelvis with every step. Owwwwwww

kitkatqueen · 17/06/2009 00:35

Hi vjay, don't forget that spatone kicks in a lot quicker than iron tablets if you're desperate Hope you're feeling better soon.

Oonagh, I am feeling really uncomfortable too, saw consultant last week who just kept saying baby is VERY well grown. Baby is also doing gymnastics in there! I'm starting to feel really bruised.

Blimey hawk - you're maling me feel guilty for serving up chicken rice and veggies for my kids tonight even if it is their favourite. Sounds yummy.
