No Boff, that's not the plan. I'm just beginning to feel a bit silly running in there contracting & then getting sent home again. I wish my waters would just break or something so I'd have a better idea. I suppose I'll phone the hospital & ask what they think. & I'd better warn DH that we may be off out.

& MM, you've taught me everything I know about my cervix xx (Actually, that's more or less true!)

Yes, I think I know what you're referring to, Ju - even though I didn't come across that term on my reading. Ick.

You might know - the antibiotic I had yesterday, do you think that could've caused my diarrhoea earlier? & potentially stupid BH things? Could they be at all related? Because I don't want to go to hospital if I'm basically just getting side effects of a lot of a drug...

Sorry to jump in - will catch up in a bit but just about to bath DD. I have a quick question.

I have just noticed I have spots on my belly, quite a lot. Some look bright red, it looks like it is bleeding almost because of the colour but it isn't. No breaking the skin or even anything raised. The best way I would describe what it looks like is spots of fresh red blood under the skin. Anybody else had this or know what it is? There isn't loads of them, just the odd few spread over my belly? I have been scrubbing the carpets and windows this afternoon if that makes a difference?

Or am I just weird?!

When I had that antibiotic it gave me a vile taste in my mouth and a splitting headache.

Springy - metronidazole always makes me violently ill within a few hours. i think possibly you would have reacted to it yesterday if that was the case of it being the drug xx

well springy if you dont want your labour can I have it please. DD is currently having a paddy in her room. Shes been a brat the last few days and I would love a legitimate excuse to get away

I also think that if contractions were a possible side effect then it wouldn't be used in pregnancy!

Puzzle, I love graphs! Everything can be explained with a good graph!

Springy - the diarrhoea could be the antibiotics, it was a whopping dose! But it does coincide beautifully with the contractions..... Crampy abdo pain also possibly, but would've thought you'd have had some nausea. TBH, guidelines say not to use the one-off big dose in pg, though I don't think that's for any particular evidence-based reason, and can't imagine it would specifically do any harm - but maybe it's because it induces labour!!!!

Seriously - if it was drug sfx, don't think it would be so regular!!! If you get to 3 in 10 mins lasting longer than 1 min each, well, I'd get into that taxi!
