SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 22:28

You'd better not join the May bunch. We'd miss you terribly - & they probably wouldn't get you like we do

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:30

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 22:36

I'm the same - what with my never going out & being so far away from friends & family & all that. & because I've never done this before & none of my friends have either - I don't know what sort of state I'd be in without you lot.

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 22:36

NL, you're a little bit proud of yourself, don't pretend like you're not

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:38

NL you love it

OP posts:
NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:40

Springy - sorry to bring it up again, do tell me to bog off if you want, i've been meaning to ask you, how did your friend get on in th end?

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 22:43

Hey you lot with your toilet antics

A lovely MW just came to see me as I;m still puking everything..baby ok though

and GUESS what my flipin laptop screen is cracked - all my fault - i keep leaving it on the floor and DD prob trod on it. I'm gutted though

Northernlurker · 07/04/2009 22:44

You got me

Springy - when i did the birthing thing I was the first person I knew to do it. My family was (and still is) miles away and dh and I knew less about babies than you can possibly imagine! AND I didn't have mumsnet! We did ok ( I think)
You will be cool

PuzzleRocks · 07/04/2009 22:44

Bugger Maths, what a day. Is it under warranty?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:45

MM - yay for lovely MW glad the baby is ok!

oh no!! nightmare about the laptop

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 22:45

She went ahead with it, but to be honest (& this is a source of major on my part) I've not really spoken to her much since. I love her to bits, but she keeps texting me about how much she's looking forward to my baby arriving because she needs something positive to focus on, etc, etc... & I'm not feeling very chatty or sociable to anyone who isn't DH / immediate family / on MN at the moment anyway & I just can't bring myself to be all about it with her.

I think she's okay. Coping, at least. She had a brief time of wobbling with it, but she's kind of repressing it now - I think it'll probably cause problems in the future, but she's not too desperate at the moment, so I'm kind of just doing my own thing

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 22:48

NL, I don't believe you. Nobody could do this without MN. I think MN is the big secret of women through the ages - the internet wasn't invented by men, it was discovered by men. & what they found was MN. Then they just added loads of porn & silly games to it & made it 'theirs'.

Maths, how annoying about the laptop screen. How bad is it? & did the MW give any new indication on timescale?

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 22:49

no warranty, too old. plus it really was my fault.

Springy, fwiw I think you are doing the right thing distancing yourself atm. ((springy))

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:50

Springy - thats fair enough really dont be to i think you may have found it hard to be all even if you were feeling sociable. its a rock and hard place really xx Glad shes ok though and coming to terms with it all

OP posts:
mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 22:50

MW said she's sure it 'won't be long' but still not even labour as only 2cmish...just want this sickness and pain to be over

WhatFreshEggIsThis · 07/04/2009 22:51

NorthernLurker you do realise that this baby will always be Orbit Buttonhole now, no matter what ends up on his birth certificate?

You have a lot to answer for

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 22:52

MM ((hugs)) i really hope the sickness passes for you soom

OP posts:
Northernlurker · 07/04/2009 22:53

Aaaaaargh!!!

Ok better make the best of it - how is little Orbit doing?

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 22:54

Think I'll hit the hay. xx
