SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 20:32

I find it very endearing - but yes, it is a bit obvious

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 20:33

bit like this

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 20:34

I didn't know anybody was taking photos of us

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 20:36

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 20:39

evening ladies......i am now feeling rubbish generally, still sick but now achey and hot and shivery and generally miserable. DH (not always great in a crisis) is wandering around saying 'i don't know how you're going to have the energy for childbirth'..

Although he has also given me a walkie-talkie in case i need him in the loo

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 07/04/2009 20:41

MM - oohhhh ((hugs)) xx hooray for the walkie talkie!!

OP posts:
KittyCatIsGettingFat · 07/04/2009 20:45

MM - pants for feeling nasty, you poor thing... but PMSL at walkie talkie for the loo! That's classic...

Speaking of loos, I'm off for a nice long soak now (without getting the stitches wet, obviously) so I'll see you all in the am!

Night Kitty xx

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 20:50

i know, it's such a man way to help

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 20:53

It's so difficult being in the spotlight like this, Nutty

& haha, I love the walkie-talkie! What a bloke! Fantastic. Sorry that you feel so rubbish, though. Things are definitely moving along, though - they're just taking a while

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 20:58

i've been sorely tempted to test it.. something like 'come in MathsDaddy, i need you here stat, we have a code red - baby's head visible - I repeat visible...'

Swaliswan · 07/04/2009 20:59

I'm running a bath at the moment in the hope that if I relax a lot I'll at least manage to get a good night's rest and have enough energy for tomorrow.

MM, I love the walkie talkie idea and think that I should have a set for when I need extracting from helping out of the bath.

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 21:00

'Roger that. ... ... Whu?!'

(& I think you'll find that's what got you into this mess in the first place )

Swaliswan · 07/04/2009 21:01

MM am PMSL at the 'code red'!

Swaliswan · 07/04/2009 21:03

Now Springy is making me laugh

I knew that coming on here would cheer me up even though I've had a day of crappy false labour.

conkertree · 07/04/2009 21:05

lol at the wlakie talkie - so not going to mention that to dh - he would definitely want one.

Swaliswan · 07/04/2009 21:08

I'm off for my yummy lavender oil bath now.

Thanks for cheering me up and good night everybody.

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 21:09

MM, just make sure you say 'over' at the end of your code red announcement - men tend to get really fussy about those things, regardless of the circumstances. You don't want to be waiting for a panic-stricken man to throw himself into the bathroom whilst he's tutting & sighing at your inability to communicate effectively

I'm glad you're feeling a bit cheerier, Swali. I always feel better after hanging around here for a few minutes - it's the only place we can be really understood!

mathshoneybunny27 · 07/04/2009 21:09

rofl at 'roger that'

who the heck would want to??!!
My DH would totally freak out in that situation ;)

SpringySponge · 07/04/2009 21:21

I think you should go for it & film the ensuing hilarity for our entertainment
