Suprise - mine was kinda clear and stringy with three little red bits sort of top middle and bottom held together by clear gunge if that makes sense (only very small) but i like you have never had one so was quite fascinated lol (i was in labour at the time and it all came out as blood and gunk kinda gush (sorry tmi)

surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 10:57

this was a clear stringy blob but more solid than liquidy if that makes sense! With DS2 the midwife was checking if I was dilated (while I was in intense pain) and she said to DH 'oh look she's had a show' and I said to DH 'don't you dare look at that - SO AM I DILATED THEN???!!!'

But for some bizarre reason I want to see it myself this time!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:07

Suprise - i would class it as a show for no other reason than it will make you feel like you're on your way and make you feel incerdibly proud, satisfied and happy!! well thats what i did, with my stringy blob thing, i refuse to believe it wasnt a bit of my plug

OP posts:
NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:08

i'm itching to have more of the same now and keep checking the loo and my pants LOL

conkertree · 06/04/2009 11:13

wow bb - what a time of it you had - i was in tears reading that too. so glad it all worked out well in the end though.

think we will all be calling him Karahan anyway whatever name you choose as he has been that for the last few months. but theres no great rush to decide.

surprise - have been having egg whitey stuff very occasionally in the last few days but dont thing that's a show as such - not really sure what it is - i dont think a show always has to be bloody though - think it can come out slowly or at once.

conkertree · 06/04/2009 11:15

i meant i dont think mine is a show - your sounds like it could well be surprise.

nutty - i am the same - every time i go to the toilet i get a little excited incase somethings happened. but like at the very start when wondering if af was going to turn up when it was too early to do a pg test.

surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 11:16

LOL nutty, I keep checking too!

conker - I have had egg whitey stuff too for the last week or so but this was much more solid (the stuff we share here!)

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:26

yep, its just too exciting not to check, we're so near the end now

OP posts:
surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 11:29

we are, we are!! The texts with 'any news' have started and I'm not even due yet! Plus, lots of texts saying 'have a good Easter, hope to see you after with a pram not a bump'...so the pressure is on!!

surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 11:31

I've just noticed that baby's car seat doesn't have a head hugger in - is that okay? DS's had one - should I go and buy one??

SpringySponge · 06/04/2009 11:32

Thanks to everyone for being all lovely & supportive of me & my general hormonal ranting xx

BB, as if you're catching up properly! God bless you for giving me hope with your antenatal out of control hormones

Boff, that sounds very frustrating. Fingers crossed for a baby today!

Oh yay! BB's birth story! & it's lovely & long! Gosh, how horrific. You poor woman That must've been so awful being in so much pain & nobody being able to work out why. You did so, so well. I'm really proud of you xx

This bit made me weepy, though: 't's the end, its a chance to push back against all the pain and horribleness and just want the baby' - so lovely!

& 'lost both my apex's but I don't know what they are so decided it can't be that serious!' & 'He looks a bit like a grumpy old man, has chicken legs and no bum (takes after his father)' made me laugh

One of my biggest worries about the having a baby bit is that he'll just stop breathing - & always has been! I can remember being 4 or 5 & going to stare at my little sister in her cot to make sure she was still breathing, never mind my own baby now. So I hope it's normal!

surprise, haha at 'don't you dare look at that'

Now to post & see how much I've missed so far!

conkertree · 06/04/2009 11:32

hmm guess i dont have many friends - havent had any texts - think most of mine know dh would put it up on facebook or send them a text when we finally have it.

conkertree · 06/04/2009 11:34

right time to do some washing i think - finally finished the jungle chest of drawers - might put a picture up of it later as i am quite proud of it - but now needs to be filled with lots of lovely clean newborn vests etc.

ds has finished watching in the night garden so i'd better get back to being a parent

surprisenumber3 · 06/04/2009 11:34

Springy - I STILL check my DS's are breathing when they're asleep!

Conker - I keep replying with 'no, no news here but will let YOU know when there is!'

SpringySponge · 06/04/2009 11:37

I haven't had any of those texts either, but only because people know that I will kill them if they start. I've been making that clear from about 3 months pregnant. My friends know when to back off (I'm totally ignoring most of them at the moment, because I can't face making small talk about trivialities ) & my mum spent the last 3 weeks of her pregnancy with her own mum phoning her at least twice a day. She's learnt from that & phones about every 3 or 4 days

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:42

Conker - oh please put up a picture, i would love to see!! no tests here either but i get phonecals every week to see how i am so i guess they know that i would tell them if anything were to happen lol dd is watching fraggle rock she's specifically requested that to day be a Jamarama day and that she just wants to "chill out" and doesnt want to get dressed

Suprise - no head hugger?? i thought all car seats came with one?? though if it didnt i guess it should be fine?

Nutty, your DD is living the holiday dream!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:46

OP posts:
phdlife · 06/04/2009 11:47

hello you lot

greetings from sunny brisbane (ok except it's nearly 9pm so not very sunny at all right now)

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:48

Hey phd, hows it going?

OP posts:
gingersarah · 06/04/2009 11:49

Surprise - my car seat came from my sister and she said there had once been a head bit for little babies that was lost in the mists of time and should be replaced. So I bought one of these:

www.amazon.co.uk/SunshineKids-Sunshine-Kids-Cuddle-Soft/dp/product-description/B000KN0L2O

but maybe that is just a pfb thing to do?

SpringySponge · 06/04/2009 11:50

Hey phd How're things?

phdlife · 06/04/2009 11:52

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 06/04/2009 11:55
