Schulte · 03/04/2009 20:21

Ouch. Having some nasty period pain today.

SpringySponge · 03/04/2009 20:31

Boff, I'd have much preferred that answer! At least it doesn't sound like you've got a potentially fatal complaint like mine did... Will try AQA for myself in a minute.

NL, I'm sure she will. You've done her a great service, there

BG, I like the move for Pinotgrigio instead of Chardonnay - it sounds very European & classy. Chic, in fact.

Haha, she's bored? What a joker It's probably just as well she only started her ML a week ago after all - imagine how insane she'd have gone if she's bored in LABOUR.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 03/04/2009 20:31

Northern - LOL at the thread WFH has so many options now!!

Conker - looks like you hae won, well unless she goes till after midnight !!

Brettgirl - that you and me with the girl vote!!

Schulte - ((hugs)) have you taken anything for it?

SpringySponge · 03/04/2009 20:31

Schulte, are you gearing up as well?

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 03/04/2009 20:34

yep she's either insane or her pain threshold is astounding

Another BB Update just come through......

I'm Bored! Contractions every 1-2 mins. Just waiting for them to change over MW to be examined! any word from Bleu? Hope No one is trying to beat me to it!

Schulte · 03/04/2009 20:36

No I am most certainly not Baby has to stay put until after Easter! I think she's just moving down into my pelvis a bit. I remember getting this on and off for weeks last time round.

Boff - so sorry about you having such a horrible day. Does you AP realise at all what grief she's causing you?

Schulte · 03/04/2009 20:37

Come on this must be a belated April Fool BB? Or is she already on an epidural do we think?

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:37

Free question from Any Question Answered if you want to get them to predict when your baby arrives

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:40

Schulte, I think she does realise and this is making her panic more.

She told DH she was worried we would sue her after yesterday's nonsense, like US parents might!!

She brought me up a tray of home made pizza and home made cakes earlier, so she does try, she's just so damn unreliable.

PuzzleRocks · 03/04/2009 20:40

Perhaps she should have taken a book with her. And to think we laughed at the thought of Bleu reading in labour.

Northernlurker · 03/04/2009 20:41

Perhaps BB is having one of those famous pain free labours?

I worked with a woman who had one of those - the cow!

I wish you'd all start birthing and stop posting - I keep seeing your updates on 'Threads I'm on' and get sucked back in and I don't belong here!

Except having had two April babies this does seem like the 'baby' time of year to me and I'm finding it quite touching to see you all gearing up for the big push. Very nostalgic - although enormously glad that personally I'm not dilating my cervix ever, ever again!

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:41

I think BB is hilarious. Do we think her DH will aactually get there in time????

Schulte · 03/04/2009 20:42

Big sigh - it's a difficult situation Boff isn't it...

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:42

First half of my first one was pain free. I do wonder if it can be done.

soon2befamilyof4 · 03/04/2009 20:44

I found my clary sage oil so I am going to try that tonight. Sorry to be off topic but I am not reading 661 posts since this morning!

Schulte · 03/04/2009 20:44

Aaach, pain free labours... remember I am going for an orgasmic one this time

Northernlurker · 03/04/2009 20:46

Boff - BB's dh will get there ok unless he stops off in Homebase...

Personally I think you should wait till you've delivered and then put the ap on the first plane home! Sometimes no help really is better than exotically crap help!

Your state of mind post partum is not going to be helped by having madam hanging around being a liability!

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:46

It is, Schulte.

I think the problem with childcare is that nothing quite does what you want. With nurseries you get bugs and also concerns about whether a group environment is the best thing for very small children. Nannies' wages are so out of proportion to the average take home pay of a working woman that for most people they are a pipe dream, and there's no guarantee you end up with someone who does a good job. Au pairs tend to be the more immature, less go-getting representatives of their age groups and need a lot of direction, as well as making really stupid mistakes sometimes.

What people really want is a third parent. But that is rarely available.

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 03/04/2009 20:48

BB Update - DH is with me. i should have brought a book! can hear lots of other people having their babies!!

surprisenumber3 · 03/04/2009 20:50

I got my answer back from AQA - saying my baby will be born a day before it is due! so that could be 14th, 16th or 23rd cos I've been given three different dates!

SpringySponge · 03/04/2009 20:50

I think it's possibly a bit of both - she's insane & quite amazing

'We've played cards. We've had dinner. We've walked for ages. There's not a whole lot to do bar wait for LO to come out!'

What on earth?!

NL, we don't mind having you here - you're one of the nice MNers from the outside world. Most of them are scary

Schulte, that's just greedy - not only pain free but orgasmic? Greedy I tells ya!

NuttyBlowUpEasterBunny · 03/04/2009 20:52

AQA - you will have your baby 1 day before the date its due. Youll be a wonderful mother as you have such a careing nature. you'll be incredibly proud!

i only asked when my baby would be born!?!?

SpringySponge · 03/04/2009 20:52

She's not even been examined yet, so doesn't know how dilated she is. How rubbish!

BoeuffinMum · 03/04/2009 20:52

Surprise, that narrows it down then.

SpringySponge · 03/04/2009 20:53
