far too quiet this evening......Verrrrrryyyy suspicious..........you do realise i will be wanting some birth announcements in the morning now

SpringySunshine · 25/03/2009 22:54

'I have offered to downsize us and move us somewhere even more rural and destressing and wear shit clothes and keep goats, but he has declined this offer.'

Boff, I do love you Like Ju, I like goats - can I come? Even if you won't virtually marry me?

Ooh, especially now you're talking about juicy fat olives & pasta. They're my favourite things in the world. Mmmmmm. Oh God, I really want that meal. I really, really want that meal. I could cry with wanting it I'm definitely moving to the goat place with you.

Nutty, I'm very pleased to see that I'm exempt from cervical interference now you're all placing bets on me You're all far too early, I think - but so long as BB has to leave me out of her magic, I'm happy.

Bleu, thank goodness for sensible women.

Auld, that your DH thought that it'd be okay to be 'on duty' in the middle of April. They really just don't get it!

Welcome towny You're lucky I already had toast in my hand, or I'd have had to have held your toast-eating against you - I'm already upset about not having the meal that Boff described earlier

Nutty, nice boots!

SpringySunshine · 25/03/2009 22:55

& don't look at me, Nutty. I'm nowhere near birth tonight - further away than usual, I think He does, however, keep sticking his bum under my ribs & then trying to push it out. My God it HURTS.

purlease · 25/03/2009 23:11

hi girls, just thought I'd have a quick check in - as usual finding it hard to keep up with you guys.

Started maternity leave on the 13th so dependant on DH's laptop in the evening.

Had absolutely lovely weather for my first week off so managed to get all the neutral coloured vests and baby grows from the attic washed and dried.

Have also managed to catch p wth lots of friends so not done much realxing so far but it's all been good.

Loving not having to work although last week when I took DD and friend to Kew gardens, I did think working might be easier. Not sure if I am ready for 2 (too late to consider this now).

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/03/2009 23:20

ahhhhhh Springy there you are yup the bummfloss and cervix dive is a killer!!!! mini me thinks its highly amusing at the moment grrrr

Purlease - yay for mat leave

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/03/2009 23:21

besideds you're not allowed to birth till friday now put a cork in it woman [grin

SpringySunshine · 25/03/2009 23:35

I don't need a cork in it! Nothing's happening, I'm telling you! I'll still be pregnant when I'm 90

& whilst I still love the word 'bumfloss', I hate the reality It's awful I also hate the horrible bit of numb flesh I always have below my boobs where he's stretched it so far that it's lost all sensation. Horrible child.

Good day, lovely?

purlease, you seem to have been making the most of your ML - just make sure you get some relaxing in as well!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/03/2009 23:40

ok i will let you off the corkage and i promise you you wont be pregnant for much longer!!! honest to bob

not a bad day in the great scheme of things but i'm constantly in a state of exhaustion or so it seems the bumfloss cervix diving is becomeing a constant pastime for little madam and is not making things any easier. i really could do with just hibernating for the rest of my pregnancy, i really am useless at the moment.

you and dh ok now?? or is he buried under the patio?

SpringySunshine · 25/03/2009 23:51

Hibernation would be so much better. If only...

We're okay now. It almost came to the patio alternative, but I decided that lifting all of those slabs & actually having to dig would be too much effort

I'll have a proper bitch tomorrow, but I can't now - he keeps glancing at my screen I should be off, really. I'm very tired & feeling a bit sick.

I've had a good day in the end, though - my friend came & we spent most of the day hanging around town browsing shops (& I bought one of those big maroon bath sheets from Wilkos!), which was nice. Left me with very swollen ankles, though. So, about that hibernation...

Night night xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/03/2009 23:55

glad you had a good day hurrah for wilkos bathsheets!!

you're right probably best not to be digging and heaving slabs

Night Night sweetheart hope you manage to get some sleep xx

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 06:57

Morning all

Wow I think last night was one of our quietest ever!!! Sure we will make up for it today though!

I was attempting to make up for my tantrum by spending some nice time with DH so we had dinner and then fell asleep - that's a picture of a young, newly married couple!!!

I am not happy to report there is NO action from my end at all - DESPITE the spicy chili, ball bouncing, cervix searching, walks and 5 RLT's in one day - it's just not worth all the effort!!! - am tempted to make up some excuse as to why I have to have an induction just to get the little bugger out!!! weirdly tho it felt like I was having contractions in my boobs last night as was getting pain spasms through them for about 2 hours!!

Weirdly, last night my tummy felt like a bowling ball, was so heavy and really pullng me forward.

However for the first time in about 6 months I slept on my back for about 4 hours without being in agony so my poor sides got a bit of a break (am sure that is not allowed but hey I don't care!!) Dh has a chest infection though so is snoring and coughing like a granddad all night!

So WFH is due tomorrow (yay!!)

Anyone else getting bored of these texts "Any sign of baby yet?" / 'Has BB arrived?' I am tempted to text back saying do you not think I would tell you if this baby was FINALLY out??!!! stupid questions!!

What is everyone up to today - am going to have to work my tush off this morning and mum and sister are coming down for a couple of hours after lunch but other than that same old day at home!!

Boff how is BoffinDad this morning - did the pint help?

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/03/2009 07:18

Morning BB!

i know what you mean about the texts. haven't gotten any yet this time but with DS it got to the point where I stopped answering the phone I was so sick of people asking! (tip: if you don't answer the phone they take that to mean something is happening so you might as well just answer it. or i might put a pre-recorded message on my machine this time...)

had my massage yesterday. it was aweseome! my only complaint is that it was on the floor on pads rather than a special PG table. I really really wanted to lay on my front!!
my back feels great today, my pelvis is still as sore (if not a bit more from lying on the floor like that) but i did sleep better last night than i have in ages!

BB - i don't think laying on your back is that bad. some poeple feel light headed because the baby stops the blood flow (or something) but i've been sleeping on my back for part of the night the whole 8 months and I'm ok

Claireykitten · 26/03/2009 07:19

Morning BB sorry you arent getting any signs of progression its v frustrating isnt it!

Im afraid to say the texts will just continue and get worse unfortunately!

Today I am going to be at the hospital having this delightful child of mine turned so it is going to be a very fun day and it hasnt started well either! I had set my alarm so I could get up at 5am so I could have something to eat and drink so of course DS woke me up at 2.45 crying and I think I ignored a vague wee urge and went back to sleep so I then woke up at 4am absolutely desperate and by the time I had hobbled my way there and back I was wide awake so I have had even less sleep than I intended and feel like poo!!

purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/03/2009 07:28

Clairey - what position is the baby in? did they offer to turn it for you or did you have to ask? (mine's transverse and doesn't seem like it wants to move!)

Claireykitten · 26/03/2009 07:42

Shes a frank breech (got her legs straight up in front of her face) I got given the choice of an ECV or an elective c-section so we have gone for ECV but Im not holding out much hope and if it doesnt work this time I will book in for a section I think. Get the impression that my hospital doesnt do vaginal breech births anyway but even if they did I dont think they would let me attempt it due to my 3rd degree tear last time.

How long have you got left and what have they offered you? I have 3 weeks left to due date yet.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/03/2009 08:06

i've still got 5 weeks to go. i'm in the 3rd degree tear club as well! i've been fighting for a vaginal birth since my first appointment and now the baby's in this awkward position. grrr!! they haven't really offered anything yet. when i saw the consultant last week she said there's no point in worrying quite yet (typically the baby isn't too big and she said it was unlikely that i would tear again). i have another scan next week so we'll see what's what. so frustrating though!

BabyBolat · 26/03/2009 08:11

I woke up this morning to 4 texts all asking the same thing! grrr!!

Clairey what does an ECV entail?

This one is all going the right way but my MW said if at 38 weeks the baby is not in position that's when they start to consider the alternatives! Fingers crossed this one will stay put!!!

Eek for bad night but things can only get better so hopefully all will go well today!

Purple lovely massage - I can't wait to lay on my front- it may actually be one of the things I am most looking forward to post pregnancy!!!

OP posts:
purplemonkeydishwasher · 26/03/2009 08:14

except of course that our boobs will be HUGE and squirty!!

bronze · 26/03/2009 08:14

morning

hope today does well Clairey

Well this morning I can 'show' off I guess except I think BB would kill me and I'm not sure I want any signs like that either. It was definitely it though I think theres more to come. hopefully in a few weeks.

Claireykitten · 26/03/2009 08:16

Hopefully you've still got time for baby turn then!

I know what you mean about having to fight when you've had a tear. Thankfully there has never been a problem for me going for a vaginal birth but they did say I would be strapped to a monitor and given an elective episiotomy whether I wanted it or not so I have had to fight tooth and nail for my water-birth. I had finally got my consultant and the head of delivery on side and was supposed to be having a meeting with them to get it all down in writing and now this has happened. So not impressed!
