BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 11:49

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 11:49

BB, you're so cute with your obsessive organisation I wish I could be more like you. Instead, I just drift along thinking 'meh, I'll do it some other time'.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 22/03/2009 11:51

though only if you can cope if your plans go tits up. Children don't allow for plans

Juwesm · 22/03/2009 11:57

Are there any bacon sarnies left???

I asked DH what the bump had got me for M-Day, and I got a peck on the nose. Better than a kick in the teeth I suppose!

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 11:59

Yeah but I have no common sense, yesterday I put DH's sunglasses on the dashboard of the card and wound down the windows only to go round a roundabout watch them fly off and get crushed by the other cars! I was mortified - they are his most prized possession and having to tell him I had ruined his £200 sunglasses was not the best!! am so dumb!!!

tristaleejac · 22/03/2009 12:02

OMG - I am shocked at sunglasses that cost £200!!

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:02

He'd saved up for them for ages and loves them!!!

tristaleejac · 22/03/2009 12:03

Mine cost £20 and they have built in MP3 player!

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:05

Mine cost £5 in the warehouse sale!!!

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 12:05

How did you break that news?

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:06

I just had runny egg on toast - naughty but soooo nice!!

tristaleejac · 22/03/2009 12:07

Men! The more money it costs the better it will work. Obviously.

bronze · 22/03/2009 12:07

well he shouldnt have left them lying around. Glasses that expensive should be in crush resistance cases

tristaleejac · 22/03/2009 12:07

Oh runny egg.........nice

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:08

I cried! and said sorry a lot - He said it didn't matter and that as long as I was ok that was all that mattered (although I have since seen him longingly looking at them so must buy some new ones asap!)

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 12:11

Well you were never in any real danger of sliding off the dashboard into the oncoming traffic, so the 'so long as you're okay' thing is a bit moot

(That mental image is making me LOL quite a lot. I think I'm going mad with hormones & lack of sleep.)

Bless him, though. DH would've told me off quite a lot.

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:11

I can't really comment as I spend too much money on other things (shoes and toiletries)! and he is more than happy with t-shirts from primark and H&M so guess it balances out - we all have those things that we like to spoil ourselves with! What's worse is he genuinely hates spending money on things - he wont buy trainers if they are too expensive etc one of his common phrases is 'is it made of gold??!!!' so I know he LOVED these as he was willing to actually pay that much for them!

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:14

Well I think it was more because I had pulled over, ran across the busy road to pick up the remains in the vain hope they could be salvaged! so I think the image of me crying and waddling across the road got to him the most!

I think I would have done more damage to the cars than they would with me had I slipped out the window!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 22/03/2009 12:23

BB - aww bless you dh for taking it so well! i cant believe you ran into the road trying to rescue them!! i have a £2 pair from the new look sale but i do have a pair of D&Gs that i got from america that cost £120 they are so scratched but i wont throw them away

Juw -

I'm laughing so hard at the idea of you going flying out of the window & people getting out of their crushed cars to shout at you

I really do need to have this baby & get some sleep. Probably not in that order.

& poor bloke, if that's his only big luxury. I like his 'is it made of gold?' question

BabyBolat · 22/03/2009 12:28

He went in to the to the bathroom shop yesterday and we were looking for a 'turkish toilet' - one with like a built in wash thing (like our bidets) and they said they could get one for £2.5k to which he almost shouted - 'Is it made of gold!!' I died!!! but was very funny (needless to say we are getting a normal toilet for £100!

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 12:29

A solid gold toilet - now that's a luxury.

SpringySunshine · 22/03/2009 12:31

Also, I'm not impressed - after I sat here all 'oh no, I don't get much heartburn' yesterday, I've done nothing but fight the vomit that keeps trying to make it out of my mouth. I think it's partly reflux, partly general nausea. I feel awful - like early, intense morning sickness. The only good thing being that it starts about half way up my bump, not at my waist like it did in the good old days
