Just logged on to check. I WANT NEWS!!!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:01

And again ... wake up Nutty, what is happening????

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:19

Nutty, if I win the lottery I am buying your DD this for her dressing up box ... not that I am missing having a little DD at all, you understand!

Flower Fairy Toy Box

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:22

Or even one like this:

More ridiculously extravagent wooden boxes the price of a small family car

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:23

Ooh, ooh, suddenly these look almost affordable.

Toy boxes for people not married to a Russian Oligarch

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:36

Toy bags here as well

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 07:37

Ah but boff they don't look nearly as nice as the hand painted named ones!!!

Ok how long does this morphone tablet knock out for if Nutty went to bed at 1?

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:48

I think we're looking at another hour if she gets as easily stoned as me. But I had a innocent youth so one whiff of something and I am off.

Glad you're up. I am mentally pacing the hospital corridors again.

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:49

Now how about some ideas for presents I can get DS1 and DS2 from the baby? Last time DS1 got a Jake doll from Tweenies but now he's 11 I will have to be a bit more inspired. There are enough soft toys in this house to sink a battleship, btw.

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 07:52

One of the most exciting nights on our threads and I missed it!!

Whats the latest did she get any better care?Do we have a little baby George yet?

Its all soo exciting! I even have Oscar getting all excited bouncing on my knee with me coz I told him Springy might be having her baby!

Just want to reiterate the whole going to the toilet regularly during labour because although I thought I went regularly due to all the fluid I was sipping my bladder got overfull and bruised when Oscar made his high speed appearance and as a result I couldnt wee for 5 weeks as my bladder needed to heal and then be completely retrained to actually release the wee.

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 07:52

hmmm you could steal nutty's idea and make them each a small box of lovely boy things (including lots of things to keep them busy while you are with baby?) what are they like personality wise, what do they like doing in their spare time?

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 07:54

Clairey, the last I heard from Nutts was that she was off the monitor (which I thought was a little odd) but hadn't been seen or examined by a doctor at all (just told off by the midwife!)

oooh I will be on that toilet non stop!!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:56

DS1 likes Lego and art and Japanese graphic novels.

DS2 also likes Lego, teddy bears, and the Mr Men, also Paddington Bear.

However being quite pampered children in a large family we do have a lot of toys over here, so I was thinking of something small and special as a keepsake.

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 07:56

Im afraid I cant really be much use in that regard Boff but if anyone has any advice as to what we can get a 16 month old it would be greatly appreciated xXx

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 07:58

WAKE UP NUTTY!!! We need news!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 07:58

Maybe I could get them both a proper watch and get it engraved. DS1 can barely tell the time because he is dyslexic, so that might help him actually be on time for things at secondary school. DS2 has a couple of cheaper watches, like Lego style and so on, but perhaps I could get him something a bit more special, and waterproof as well.

Claireykitten · 01/03/2009 08:00

That sounds like a really nice idea Boff!

BabyBolat · 01/03/2009 08:01

That is a nice idea!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 08:03

Well, with a 16 month old you couldn't actually go too far wrong with a Teddy IMO. I found one recently that had an MP3 player in it that also showed cartoons, which I have got for DS2 for his birthday. So you might want to consider something like that, because I would think it has good active and passive play value, good when Mum has just had a new baby.

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 08:08

Maybe something like this for the watches.

Flik Flak watches

mathsmummy27 · 01/03/2009 08:24

Morning! I logged on at 3am too

FWIW, the numbers on the monitor are pretty high - def not BH - and the heartbeat range would indicate the baby is feeling, but not suffering from, the contractions too. If the cervix is effecing/dilating, it's definitely on. If not, WHY not!!??

How's everyone this morning?

mathsmummy27 · 01/03/2009 08:25

hee hee effecing!!

BoffinMum · 01/03/2009 08:28

I almost wanted to get in there with the rubber gloves myself. And I hate the thought of cervixes and other people's fanjos. I have no idea why they didn't give her an internal all evening.

brettgirl2 · 01/03/2009 08:31

I can't believe all the excitement I have missed out on. I'm sure Nutty will be up soon with some news....

mathsmummy27 · 01/03/2009 08:31

Mmm, sounds dodgy to me. Wonder what's occurring now. Would you feel say, your sister's cervix? I'm sure I will have to deal with this issue at some point, being known for that sort of thing and having lots of sisters!
