Boff - Sorry it didn't last. Who knows what tomorrow will be like though. I'll keep eveything crossed for you.

BB - That does sound odd, routine induction appointments. A bit scaremongering really.
My money says you will be two days early.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 10:25

Nutty - Good morning. Have you had any more responses since last night? I'll chase this afternoon as soon as we have our new thread. I'm assuming brettgirl is an opt out?

PuzzleRocks · 21/02/2009 10:33

Irrelevant fact: My ex is good mates with Georgina Bailey. The one involved in the Jonathan Ross / Russell Brand brouhaha.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 10:35

Morning Puzzle Trista is in. Not sure about brettgirl i guess so though

Well fingers crossed that will not happen - I did say in my appointment yesterday that I wanted it to be as natural as possible which they seemed really happy with so sure will be fine - am hopeful I wont need it to be fair!

Just finished my work (yay), may have an hour or so to do tomorrow when my boss eventually gets round to reading it but the bulk of the research and writing is done (yay!!) Now for the house cleaning!

Am so tired tho - DH was tossing and turning all night and we eventually gave in and got up at 2.30 to come downstairs - bless him, think the reality of his dad's death is just starting to kick in and he is finding it really hard. He eventually fell asleep at 4.30 curled up on the sofa but then had to wake up at 5.45 for work! Was very cute, he was led on my lap with his head on my tummy and LO was stroking his face from inside like telling him it would be Ok (had a sneaky little cry while he was led there!) Tis horrible as there is nothing I can do to take the pain away! Although did question why I get kicked and thumped from the inside and DH gets gentle strokes!! Reinforcing my belief that this LO is a girl - a daddy'a girl at that!!

What are we all up to today - the weather is really nice so think I will try and open ip the house and get the cleaning done (ooh the joy) then maybe pop down to the beach for a walk.

Am watching one of those birth programmes now and this woman is SCREAMING so very very loudly, like she is being murdered! seems a bit over the top if you need me (says the first timer !!!)

BabyBolat · 21/02/2009 10:38

if you ask me not need me!! (God I hope my english was better in the report I just wrote!!!)

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 10:43

That is a definite claim to fame puzzle xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 10:54

BB - Bless your LO, so sweet. ((hugs)) unfortunately it just takes time and eventually talking through when your DH is ready. It must be really hard for you as like you say you cant take the pain away but just by you being by his side will be providing him with the love and strength he needs to get through his greif, you wont know it but you are probably doing far more than you know just by being there for him even if its just for a hug or a smile here and there xx ((hugs)) xx

Just on the russel brand thing there is something about him that i just sooooooo would (probably cos hes a bit of a rude dirrrrty boy )

I think i have a thing for comediens i would love to have a piece of Eddie Izzard as well, even with the make up

maybe i just like slightly odd people

BabyBolat · 21/02/2009 11:06

oooh no to Russell Brand - yuk yuk yuk, he is so skinny and dirty (not dirty in a nice way but dirty in a grubby way!!!)

BoffinMum · 21/02/2009 11:15

Nutty you are sick.

BB, it takes a good 15 months to get through the first stage of grief. You have to get through all the various anniversaries first. Poor DH. Hope baby will take his mind off it a bit.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 11:17

i would make sure he had his all clear from the doc and a bath first obviously

BabyBolat · 21/02/2009 11:19

Even an industrial wash down couldn't get the grubbiness of that boy....

electra · 21/02/2009 11:19

Hi all. I'm afraid everything isn't great here The baby doesn't seem to be growing at the expected rate and they are starting to worry about the possibility of intra-uterine growth restriction. I think my hopes of a home birth are going out the window.

Obviously, my main concern is that the baby is ok in there but this is unnerving for me because I didn't have anything like this with my other pregnancies. It's a case of wait and see at the moment, and to go for regular scans. But the baby is not growing along a curve and is crossing centile lines, the additional concern being that the blood flow from the placenta to the baby doesn't look right.

I hope you are all ok.

BabyBolat · 21/02/2009 11:21

I know it will take a while I think it is just more of a shock to him because he came back and was really OK with it all, sort of slotting back in to life and then it has kidn of hit him again! It's amazing how protective I am of him when he is upset, I can't imagine what I will be like when this LO comes!!

BabyBolat · 21/02/2009 11:24

Oh electra ((hugs))

So sorry to hear that - how many weeks are you now? Will they deliver you early if things don't progress?

Am crossing everything for you in the hope that all will be ok - like you said, the most important thing is that LO is OK and they will make sure with regular scans and check ups!

bronze · 21/02/2009 11:27

Morning all

Lovely day here. Was out in the garden with dd hanging out the washing in the sun, listening to the leaves rustling, the birds singing and the chickens fighting over a worm and thinking how lucky I am.

You realise we're all over 30 weeks now .

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 11:28

Hi Electra so sorry you are having a hard time right now ((hugs)) xx i cant imagine how worried you must be , but at least the know whats going on and will be monitoring growth & blood flow ((more hugs))

OP posts:
bronze · 21/02/2009 11:29

Electra I'm sorry things aren't going so well for you. They seem to be doing a goo job keeping tabs on things now. I was told 3rd pregnancies are always the awkward ones. I don't know why but it seems to be pretty true

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 11:40

BB - protective is good , i'm the same with dh and dd. Its a case of me and mine. i get all tigress like if they're hurt or upset, it just shows how much you love him xx

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 21/02/2009 11:41

Bronze - sounds idyllic i have dh mowing the lawn its a beautiful spring day!! babies soon!!

OP posts:
electra · 21/02/2009 11:43

Thanks for your kind words. I'm 32+3. The midwife told me a lot will depend on the next scan and if another line is crossed. I think they review the situation every week and decide whether the baby is better in or out each time. I don't like the idea of being induced early though because it will be hell for me and the baby if it isn't 'ready' to come. But I'm trying not to cross too many bridges.
