I am booked into Kingston, due 15 April. Anyone else due to give birth there in the Spring?

Me! I'm due 24 April.
There's actually quite a few of us on the 1st time Spring mums thread.

I've found them great so far - inc a little trip there over Xmas when I was sick - and am not yet at the stage of fretting about the birth. DOubtless reality will hit nearer the time...

Are you going for the main labour unit or Malden suite? I'm undecided...largely as I haven't quite decded if I'm ready to forego an epidural...

Oh, and do you know if it's a boy or girl?

Hi Flirty

I'm not a 1st time Mum, so I don't qualify for your thread! (though I feel like a first time mum, as my DS is 10 now and it all seems like a LONG time ago!). I'm having another boy.

I will almost certainly be crying out for an epidural before I get half way to the hospital, so I'm pretty sure it will be the main labour unit for me. I've heard mixed reviews, depending on how busy it happens to be when you go in.

I have only been into Kingston maternity once to see a grumpy obstetrician, who took great pleasure in reminding me that the 20 week scan doesn't pick everything up and because of my grand old age I am high risk and should be prepared for the worse... It didn't exactly make my day, in fact I rather hope I never have to see him again!

Are you expecting a boy or a girl?
