Place your bets on how long this thread will last, my guess is two weeks!!

BoffinMum · 15/01/2009 17:35

Nutty, are you planning to do the pineapple juice, nipple tweaking, curry and so all at once????

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 17:37

Boffin- horrible about the pain meds AND even worse I think abt the therapy. Cool about seeing the baby again.

Puzzle- lol thread title I was thinking about one too earlier...I was thinking something like, we're a gassy lot and not just talking about cots.

I'm willing to wait for the baby to come, the later the better in someways for me because it means he'll have a birthday time all to his own... the early months in the family are highly packed with b-days, anniversaries, mini-holidays, and the like.

BoffinMum · 15/01/2009 17:38

PS Nutty, my uncle used to live in Bristol. I say used to, because the Out of Hours doctor refused to visit him, arguing he only had flu, but in fact it was leukaemia and he subsequently died a fortnight later. I have not had a very good opinion of healthcare services over there since that.

BoffinMum · 15/01/2009 17:40

Another good thread title might be after a West Indians folk song they sued to sing at the hotel in Antigua I went to on honeymoon - "De big bellied people had a party". As we will need a title a week at this rate I will keep thinking.

And don't forget the Krispy Kremes for post-coital nourishment...

BoffinMum · 15/01/2009 17:46

That should sound good but in fact it's more nausea-inducing.

I am lucky in some ways to be in Cambridge but not from the SPD point of view, it has to be said.

Bleuravin · 15/01/2009 17:46

lol about the 'want the baby out now' evening planning Maybe a cup of raspberry leaf tea after words too... just to really help yourslef along

I never spend more than a fiver for kids' parties. I think the goodie bag idea sounds brilliant. The danger with HSM is that you end up duplicating what someone else is doing. Get DD to draw the cards and tags - much nicer!

Oooh goodie bags definitely! As a girl that goes for quantity rather than quality of presents (in that respect I am very much like a 5-year old) I would go for more smaller presents to open!!!

Ok so just had the WORST period pain of my life, to the point where I came straight home and sat in a hot bath for 20 minutes! Was dying in the car for the 60 minute journey felt like period pain, constipation and cystitis all in one!! All is fine now tho, still hurts a bit but have had dinner am and sat on the sofa drinking tea (trying to persuade DH to go and buy some chocolate biscuits from the shop) waiting for ER to start! (Did anyone else watch it last week and cry like a small child!!!) Feel like I am constantly complaining about pains on here at the moment! Is it anything I should be worried about? (Boffin / Nutty as my pregnancy guru's I am looking to you for advice!!!)

Bubs has also started kicking around again which is nice!

Catch up time again.

Forget pineapple, I ate it until it was coming out of my ears. And who the hell wants a shag or their nipples tweaked at 9 months pregnant? Not me, it's about the only time i'm definitely not interested.
Can I stronlgy recommend red leaf raspberry tea for toning those uteruses (uteri?? Boffinmum???) though. I dilated extremely quickly and relatively comfortably and everyone I know who used it in the last four weeks (not to be drunk before) swore by it.

BabyBolat - you poor thing. Might be a daft question but how comfortable were your work clothes today. I get myriad aches and pains down below if i'm in any way restricted.

BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 21:14

He has been - anyone for a cadbury's digestive - I have had 4!!!

OP posts:
PuzzleRocks · 15/01/2009 21:16

Aargh, DH has gone to Sainsbury's to pick up nappies and he has taken his phone. He has no idea how much I want chocolate right now. He better damn well be telepathic.

PuzzleRocks · 15/01/2009 21:17

Oh for goodness sake. He HASN'T taken his phone.

BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 21:20

Oh that's not a problem Puzzle I was in a oversized dress and unbuttoned jeans all day!

Will do, it has got much better so sure it will be fine - and Nutty, you are right, chocolate biscuits have magical healing powers!

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 15/01/2009 21:21

He left the house with a pregnant wife WITHOUT his mobile phone - rookie mistake!!!!
