i looking forward to the game, i've got a good feeling about it. but think i will let DH inhabit the couch with DS and i might tidy this house ad listen to it on the radio, the house looks really filthy and untidy.

I'm the same Kayz last night the baby felt like it was trying force it's head further down into my bits, it really hurt. then today i have been sat here on the couch with DS but even with loads of pillows i can't get a comfortable position and he has been getting grumpy because i keep having to move to get repositioned.

emmanbump · 30/11/2008 16:18

Congratulations TYV and Lal

Been feeling really sick the last couple of days (never got any morning sickness so this is obviously revenge ). Also bump has been really uncomfortable not sure if BH but not nice. Thankfully have started ML now so if I feel rubbish I can just go back to bed.

I cannot believe how many Dec babies have been born in Nov.

Veggiemummy · 30/11/2008 16:37

oh poor Emma are you able to eat much?

I've sent secret stork and it's arrived, and I've got mine - so hurray!

Someone mentioned John Lewis earlier and waters breaking in there - what happens if that does happen? I'm going there on Weds, so am going to hang out in there if I feel like something is imminent!!! Hee hee! I think it's free nappies or something.

Chutney - been thinking about you - REALLY GOOD LUCK TOMORROW! You'll be fine - not surprised you're emotional - 3rd baby is quite daunting, but you seem so down to earth and with brilliant attitude when we met a couple of weeks ago - sure everything will be fine. MASSIVE hug! xxxx

TYV & Lal - congrats! That is so very very exciting - I'm so chuffed for you. And so jealous!

I've had nada since my show and must say, not expecting anythign for a while! Have given up driving, though, as seem to be all knees in the tummy dept, if you know what I mean!

I don't really have a bump any more - more of a sort of lump with corners - so many bits of baby sticking out in all directions!!! Baby is still enormously active and kicky - quite like it. Especially as I just ate some caramel shortbread. DEeeeelicious! Oh and went to John Lewis and bought some maternity bras just now - 36E. I tried an F and it was enormous! HAHA! Quite proud of my increase from a B pre-preg. But E-cup still a bit empty at the moment - sure it will fill when I'm milky milky.

Gasping to have the baby now - it feels so weird not being in control of when it arrives! I'm dreading labour on the one hand, but on the other, really looking forward to getting on with it and squirting out a little bambino!!! Hurray!

Oooh, I got 10 hours sleep last night - amazing! (4 wee stops, but hardly woke up!) BUT as punishment, having been quite smug about it, I discovered that I have stretchmarks enormously below my tummy button. NOticed them in the horrid mirrors in John Lewis - GUTTED! Purpley ones. ming.

Emma - hope you feel much better soon - horrid to be feeling sick and thinking of you. Off for another cup of tea now.

GOOD LUCK TOMORRROW, CHUTNEY!

xx

Veggiemummy · 30/11/2008 17:36

oh Cat lucky you said not to say anything as was about to see if Kayz was on to speak with her about the current state of play (see that doesn't give anything away).

Cat that is funny about the yoga group. I am currently the furthest along in my yoga class but only by one day, and the 'youngest' lady is 30 weeks so no freaking anyone out there.

I am saying nothing Cat.

BabyKayz is having a good wriggle this afternoon. DS is sat on my knee waiting for In The Night Garden to start and I am balancing the laptop on the other knee.

I have found out that the MLU might have a birth pool. I am going to ask MW on Thursday and then hope I can use it when I am in labour.

Hi all, have been unable to post all day as every time I read any new posts I burst into tears. Have had a really emotional day with the realisation that when I drop DS1 at my parents on Wednesday it is the last time I will see him as my only child. Does that sound pathetic? I really, really don't want to get all emotional in front of him as it is bound to freak him out. Also, does anyone else already with DC's have the (hopefully) ridiculous fear that they might not have enough love for another child?
Must pull myself together now...

penny99 · 30/11/2008 18:32

Hi all

Can hardly keep up with posts. Congrats to lal and TYV.

WG - your MILs comments are priceless. Might have been funny if you too had intentionally misunderstood her comments about shaving, perhaps put her back in her place. I am also glad that you went off to the hospital when you thought there was a problem. It can be easier to convince yourself that its fine than to actually phone and go and get checked.

Oh Beans33, I am jealous of 'show'. I have heaps of pressure in pelvis but no other proper signs. Only three days (!!!) til due date but one of my friends horrified me with the news that her first baby was 17 days late.

Can I just say that I think I may have set a record last night for highest number of pees in a night (when no alcohol was involved!). I went to bed at 10 and between then and 8 when I got up I went to the bathroom TEN times!!! Yes, I did count them. I was as regular as clockwork, once an hour.

I have been drinking two massive cups of R leaf tea a day for the past two weeks and one a day from 35 weeks. Not sure if it will make any difference but it tastes quite nice and helps increase my water intake (although from the above paragraph you may wonder why I am bothered about that!). I do find that I get BHicks contractions while I am drinking the tea which is a bit weird.

ChutneyM - good luck for tomorrow. I hope your DDs are lovely to you tonight in advance of your big day tomorrow.

Veggiemummy - glad its not just my DH that is eating the snacks from the hospital bag! I have replaced them once already and may have to check tomorrow to see if anything else is missing. It only seems to be the green and blacks that goes missing and never the prunes!!

Off for a curry tonight. I don't care if its an old wives tail - its a great excuse.

daisydora · 30/11/2008 18:48

katie I know how you feel about your DC and the baby!!

I felt very similar when I left DD at my mums surely I would never feel same about another baby as I did DD?? and now DS is here I am totally overwhelmed by him. You will love your baby the same I promise

I cried in hospital when DD came to see me and kept kissing DS....I have wonderful children as will you .

Verso · 30/11/2008 18:49

katie I had exactly that fear. I didn't see how any other child could possibly make me feel the way DD1 does, and I worried I wouldn't be able to love them the same. Well... (look away now if you're feeling emotional as I'm welling up thinking this) I can honestly say I am overwhelmed by my love for DD2. It's just the same. It's like I now have twice as much love to go round - which is amazing. You will be the same I'm sure.

I do, however, worry that during this recovery period I can't be there for DD1 as much as I'd like. eg tonight I just couldn't do the stairs again before bed (I did the stairs too much yesterday and paid the price later) - and so am not doing her bedtime story, which feels weird. But I know I'll feel better in time and things will sort themselves out.

daisydora · 30/11/2008 18:50

chutneym best of luck for tomorrow!

Verso · 30/11/2008 18:50

P.S. The secret stork I sent has been received - and thank you to 'my' Secret Stork for posting earlier. I will look out for the post!

kayzisexpecting · 30/11/2008 18:52

Awwww Daisy and Verso you both make it sound so lovely. I am slightly worried about DS but he loves babies and is always wanting to look at them when we are out so I am hoping he'll be ok.

theyoungvisiter · 30/11/2008 19:19

typing one handed while feeding number 2 and DH is bathing DS1!

Just to encourage all the 2nd timers, DS has been amazing with the new baby - beyond what I expected - just incredibly sweet and cuddly. Not sure if it will last as I suspect the novelty will wear off soon - but he's been great so far...

And induction of labour - I found with both pgs that nipple stimulation and sex (preferably together) was an unfailing way to start BH contractions and strengthen any twinges. In fact my early contractions started after I fed DS Friday morning (am still feeding number 1 just to clarify!)

Right, off to read DS1 a story now... so tired, they both woke up last night and we hardly got any sleep, please keep your fingers crossed for a more tranquil night in the visiter household tonight sob... still at least the heartburn is gone and I'm not weeing hourly any more so keep soldiering on pregnany ladies!

Olipop · 30/11/2008 19:39

Evening girls!!! Katie I know what you mean. I am worried about not being able to spend the time with DS that he is used to and that he'll think that the new baby has usurped his position as the most important thing in my life! Awww gawd...it's scary!

EnchantedwithEdwardCullen · 30/11/2008 19:40

Awww congratulations TYV!!!

I'm planning a homebirth too so it was especially lovely to read yours went well

Olipop · 30/11/2008 19:40

I'm sure it will be fine though. Just bumped into a girl at the christmas light turning on event who has just had baby 2 and she said some lovely things...no doom and gloom mongering for a change. I feel a bit more inspired!

Verso · 30/11/2008 19:46

I think someone asked me earlier why I can't drive for six weeks. It's because your insurance doesn't necessarily cover you after a caesarean. You have to phone to check. Some insurance policies require you to provide a doctor's note to say you're fit to drive. The main concern is being able to brake safely - in particular doing an emergency stop if required. The worry is that the pain at the incision might prevent you from braking properly and cause an accident.

(Not sure if anyone is remotely interested in the above but I'm sure someone asked! )

chutneymary · 30/11/2008 19:56

Thank you all so much for all your lovely words... it really does mean so much that so many of my virtual mates are thinking of me.

I have been a basket case all day. Cried on virtually everyone and now can't stop. Keep thinking the same as you Katie - how will I have enough love for another baby when I love my girls so much? Realistically, I should know better as I have 2 already. DH reminded me that I stressed enormously about loving DD2 when I was about to have her as DD1 was so gorgeous. I had forgotten that.

Anyhow, I am going to get (even more) maudlin and sentimental unless I go now. I'll look in again later on. I feel rather wired, even though I am shattered, so no early night for me. Drugs at 10pm, drugs at 6am tomorrow then that's me til I come out the other side.

Hope everyone is well and having a good evening. Sorry for the me, me, me.

kayzisexpecting · 30/11/2008 20:00

Chutney I am sure you'll be fine. I'm sure you have plenty of love for all 3 of them.

Good luck for tomorrow and looking forward to hearing from you on the 'other side'

Oooooh Here Come The Boys is now on ITV. So excited!!!
