glad they were helpful, can't take the credit though someone else recommended them for me, my DD loves them, i think you can get them from blackwells as well. just did a link to show you.

katzguk · 14/03/2005 12:53

lynny - if you want to come and do my garden too that would be great!! DD would like some flowers for outside her little play house so i need to go and get some troughs to fill with pretty flowers

welshmum · 14/03/2005 12:56

I'm v excited about the spring arriving too. Apparently temperature will be double figures (16,17) by the end of the week.
I just love being in the garden and although it felt painful at first I'm glad we've decided to pay to get some major landscaping done - just hope it can be finished in time.

Sounds like a lot of you have green fingers!! Excelent, I shall be able to get advice

Welshie, I'm glad someone is coming in to do your garden. We had someone do ours last year. Before, it was a complete wilderness, once beautifully planted, but sadly left to go crazy for a few years. We had paving laid and a lawn, managed to salvage some of the decent shrubs and a gorgeous Magnolia Grandiflora (apparantly very expensive??!). Well worth it to watch little dd crawling and playing in her paddling pool

Summer babies are tops!

katzguk · 14/03/2005 13:49

DH's godmother is a landscape gardener and we are just waiting for her plans for our front garden, she came and tested the soil and is now doing us a plan for a low maintainence garden, we have to plant it out but she's going to tell us where to put everything. Anyone in Bristol looking for a garden i can strongly recommend her, she has a garden which she opens tot he public.

welshmum · 14/03/2005 13:51

Wow KVG you sound like a proper gardener - I do my best but it's more by accident than design.
We do have a pear tree though and it was lovely to feed dd pureed pears which had been on the tree an hour earlier.
This time of year I get overexcited by hellebores (sp)

Afternoon all! All this talk of spring and gardens is making me even more impatient for the inches of SNOW still here to go away at last! But we've been promised warmer weather by Weds, so I live in hope!
Had an ante-natal and scan this morning! Little one is fine, right size for age (28+5), weighs approx 1.3 kg. Heard and saw his adorable little heart pumping away! He's already head down, but doc says he can still turn, although he thinks he'll prob stay where he is, but it's not a sign of impending labour or anything (phew). I've got to take it easy for the next few weeks just in case.

welshmum · 14/03/2005 14:50

I'm definitely more aware of my size now KVG - I feel huge (although it does depend on what I'm wearing) not scared of the birth though am going through a phase of really wanting to meet it - too soon to feel like this really.

Lynny - Sounds like you got off lightly with £130! . Thanks for enlightening me as to the reason for the employment of those rubber bands! . Lol your dd evicting Raggy to the cellar!

KVG - half the time I pull up on the wrong side of the pump in the petrol station and I've had my car over a year! . I also have "the fear" and still can't believe I'm going to have a baby

Tea - Aw, your little boy and your trousers As for me being a seamstress - the idea that I gave up my little dog walking business 15 months ago was that I started up making beanbags and nice hippyish ladies' attire so I bought two sewing machines including an overlocker. I then discovered the fabric for the beanbags legally had to be fully fireproof and I couldn't find any nice enough fireproof velvets. So that went by the wayside. Then I bought loads of lovely lightweight cotton saris from India to make into shirred tops and dresses, and never got round to it! Might have another bash at it though when Pod's here.

Nice title for our brand new thread MsWelsh!

When people ask me when I'm due, I say June and invariably they think I've said "due" because I'm so MASSIVE.

Cornflake - hello! long time

I'm very of those of you with a together, or coming together nursery! Our "nursery" is still stuffed full of dp's dusty old electronic gadgetry and piles of cds and software manuals and furry mouldy mugs ....

Lippy - is dp getting itchy feet? Is he pining for NZ perchance??

Berolina - oo "take it easy" Doctor's orders! Brilliant! wish mine had said that. I'm happy you had a good scan today - I was measured last week and my abdomen was measuring a week too much. He said I'll need another scan if he's still bigger than he should be at my 28 week appt.

SCRAGGY WHERE ARE YOU??

Why is one pack of pickled onion monster munch never enough?
