Morning ladies!
Uwila, your dd looks very sweet on your advert for a nanny, although for avoidance of doubt, I would have used a picture of her tucking in to a nice boiled egg
Thank you all again for the good wishes, it's been great to be able to share the worry as most of my family didn't realise there was anything other than the 'usual' nightmarish tension about the adoption. They start the visits after Easter and all being well, the little one should come and live with them sometime in April. I think they'll just miss his first birthday, which is a shame.
tea - maybe there were a lot of tourists on your route this morning, still can't imagine a Londoner giving up their seat, however pregnant a person was!
Lua - sympathies as well for the glucose intolerance, and having to wait two weeks to see a dietician. I agree with MrsW, I think we should try and cut down on the choc talk for a while to be supportive. In fact yesterday I didn't even eat any, proving to myself that it can be done
lynny - definitely get yourself checked out, the rash sounds nasty
welshie - amusing bilingual pun about having been lax with salmon this time - lax is Swedish for salmon. (Apologies, here in Suffolk we have to make our own entertainment).
I think it's mercury in farmed salmon which is the issue (for all, not just pregnant women) so apparently wild salmon is the way to go (so MIL informed me, I took no notice). Dunno if organic is the same as wild but probably better for you.
Jonah - re the slippers, I should stress that these are not fluffy pink high-heeled mules or anything, dh is not Ru Paul
Someone's just asked me when I'm due - fortunately as this was over Instant Messenger I assume it's not due to the size of the bump but more of a general 'hmm, isn't it time yet?' type inquiry. Does anyone else feel like they've been pregnant FOREVER?
