Me too!! 19th April here we come... Is the food any good at Epsom do you think? Now that I'm over the first (and nasty) trimester I'm thinking of food ALL the time...

Any luck with the antenatal classes ladies? I had a bit of a panic this morning with an email from NCT saying that because I hadn't filled in the paperwork, they'd given my place away... and I posted the cheque off WEEKS ago... let's hope they can squeeze me back in!

Hi,

yes would be funny if we ended up on the same ward afterwards Laulau27.

KittyCat8 I have no idea about food there but based on my experiences at Kingston I am glad there is a pizza express just down the rd
This is my 3rd so not bothering with classes this time. I did them with my 1st and it was quite reassuring to think things through. But with regards pain relief etc etc I really think its best to keep an open mind about things. With no1 I had a long labour and was so glad about fabulous epidural. With no2 arrived at hospital fully dilated so no time for anything apart from gas&air and my tens machine. I lived to tell the tale thoguh

I dont think the food is great in Epsom to be honest.. I know a couple of people who have been in there and said its not great.. but hey hopefully we wont be in there for long!!

Yes thank god we are into our second trimester.. I feel absolutely fine now.. bit tired but thats all.. sometimes I forget I am pregnant but then that worries me as I worry if something is up with the baby!

I am seeing my midwife next week for the 16 week check (and I think I can hear the heart beat too then). I will ask her about ante natal classes then!

Hello Epsom ladies!!

I am a teeny bit concerned (not sure if I'm just beig paranoid) but i don't have a 16 week appt scheduled... should i call the midwife to follow up? it should have been this week - maybe the letter got lost in the post?

On a happier note, who's keen for a Starbucks Hot Choc with extra cream in Epsom next week? Let me know if you fancy a meet up!

Carameli · 07/11/2008 16:52

Hi KittyCat8 are you in Ashtead I seem to remember or is that someone else? I am at the Ashlea medical practice behind the library and just phoned them to make an appt for 16wks with the midwife. If not there check that your local GP does not have a midwife? Yes I would be interested in meeting at Starbucks. Morning is best for me as ds(nearly 2 is usually in a better mood

I had my DD at Epsom this March and have noticed this thread a couple of times now and I love reading about 16 week appointments etc as this was me last year (although a bit further ahead). Hope you don't mind my lurking!

Hope you're all having lovely easy pregnancies and FWIW, I think Epsom hospital is fab

Carameli · 07/11/2008 17:14

hi Ewe, good to hear you liked Epsom. Its my 3rd but 1st time at Epsom so was wondering what it would be like.

laulau27 · 10/11/2008 09:39

Hi Ladies!
Kittcat8, I had to call my GP to arrange my 16 week midwife appt.. I have mine this Wednesday as I will be 16 weeks tomorrow!
Are you ladies also 16 weeks this week? I believe we can hear the heartbeat at the appt, that will be reassuring for me

Hi I am 16wks tomorrow. I have loved this appt as its so great hearing the heartbeat. SOmetimes I think its even more special than seeing it on screen but thats me.

laulau27 · 10/11/2008 12:05

Yes I agree with you.. I just hope the MW can find it and I can hear it.. There is always that worry that the baby is still there as I have been feeling fine and everything, its scary!
