God Ekka, you're due on the same day as me, scary that you may be going into labour!! Have u found it?

Honeymoonmummy · 24/10/2008 07:24

I think it was this one...?

www.contractionmaster.com/

I've barely slept a wink all night. Rang labour ward to check out the excessive head movements, turns out its cos I had 3 cups of caffeinated tea yesterday after staying off caffeine all the way through!!

jenwa · 24/10/2008 07:58

congrats to hansnava and your new baby girl.

4andnotout yeh!!!! thank you Wezmebroomstick for update.

jenwa · 24/10/2008 08:01

Ohh caffeine! That must have been uncomfy though. This baby was making me uncomfy yest with head in groin and shooting pains and felt like it just wanted out but Oh no, she is a determined one, not wanting out yet!

Still not in labour sorry!!!!

MW coming this am....yeh! Hopefully she will pull her out if it was that easy!

Honeymoonmummy · 24/10/2008 08:05

I felt such an idiot! It did occur to me, in my defence, before I rang...

I'd been at the hair salon then having a pedicure so couldn't drink my usual decaf tea... I dont think the meatballs in spicy arribiata sauce for tea helped either...

Have you had any symptoms of labour Jenwa?

WezMeBroomstick · 24/10/2008 08:25

Morning all,

Good news....

Olive's/4andnotouts baby girl was born

last night at 11.25 weighing 7lb 5oz

Well Done Olive! x

star6 · 24/10/2008 08:49

congratulations 4andnotout
name?

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/10/2008 08:52

congrats 4andnotout!

Jenwa I'm still here too...now 3 days over, am hitting the homeopaths this afternoon - apparently caullophylum can bring on labour? going to do some more research on it today

my pelvis is in agony today, think it was the mammouth hike yesterday trying to get this baby out...

nuclear · 24/10/2008 10:35

big congrats 4andnotout

I am still here too ... really having trouble sleeping now I am walking round like a zombie - I am hoping that the adrenalin will carry me through labour because I am a bit worried that as I am getting hardly any sleep my energy reserves will be too low.

I am going to bounce on birthing ball lots today.

pepperrabbit · 24/10/2008 11:02

Congratulations 4andnotout and hansnava !
jenwa nuclear et al - sending lots of labour vibes.

SmudgeyDoodle · 24/10/2008 12:00

Congrats 4andnotout. I did lots of bouncing yesterday nuclear but still nothing. Rubbish that you're not sleeping because like you say it's really hard when you're tired. I seem to be sleepign ok again so making most of it. Honeymoonmummy glad you've found cause of lots of movement. Do you think eating 5 pieces of chocolate tiffin will help to get things going? I feel like it's my duty to find out......
How was the sweep Jenwa?

jenwa · 24/10/2008 12:01

congrats 4andnotout am not at all jealous!!!!!

Just had sweep, it was fine actually, babys head in right down now so she had to root around behind it but not dilated yet but soft. No signs of labour though and she said the leakage in the morns is disharge but watery like 4andnotout said as I would have been trickling all day if it was waters! Feel bit silly now but knew it was not wee!

GWMH let me know about that caullophylum, if I dont hear I will know its worked when you post your birth story

nuclear know the feeling re sleep! I think it is baby saying "this is what it will be like" yet we still are desperate to get them out

Off to mums for lunch now and walking, hope I dont have a massive show on the way over...eek! I have put a panty liner in just in case! Just starting to get some tummy cramps now but may be hunger, toilet or somethig else. Not thinking about it until it happens

SmudgeyDoodle · 24/10/2008 12:02

Ooops, meant to say good luck Ekka and hope it isn't as long as last time for you.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/10/2008 14:55

will let you know Jenwa - off to see if my local health freak shop has it now...

4andnotout · 24/10/2008 16:13

Hello!!!!!!!!!!! grin
Tilly-Grace arrived 45 minutes after we arrived at the hospital, with only 2 pushes and some gas & air. She is tiny and weighs 7lb 0.5 oz and is breastfeeding like a pro, came home from hospital at 12.30 this afternoon and have already been to a special assembly at dd1's school.

nuclear · 24/10/2008 16:46

4andnotout what a beautiful name

completely envious at such a lovely sounding birth - are you super woman in disguise ??

look at you going out already, you make it sound so easy

x

nuclear · 24/10/2008 16:50

been for a long walk with DS, my lovely mum (who i have to say has been an absolute god send this past week) and the dog but still NADA !!!

I am half expecting Jeremy Beadle to pop his head around the door and shout

"ha ha you are not actually pregnant we have been fooling you these past 9 months"

it just feels as though nothing is happening. I thought I had a trickle of waters this morning but thinking back on it now I think it also might have been that pesky watery dishcarge jenwa

jenwa · 24/10/2008 17:18

4andnotout Wow you make it sound easy! Is that the pros of having more??!!!! You are a superwoman already going out!!!!!

nuclear My mum and parent inn laws been fab too. It really helps does'nt it.

I went back to bed this afty as was so tired and dd staying at mums tonight and my sis coming up from London so they are taking her to town tomorrow Me and DH cant decide wether to go out or stay home and rearrange the rooms. As sad as it is I am for the latter as am a neat freak and it would make me feel sooo good but should prob do the meal thing or maybe a walk. He certainly does not want to come near me for any action so thats is not on the agenda

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/10/2008 17:27

walking has not worked out for me, has meant my pelvis is in agony and I have to make sure not to sit in same position for more than 5 mins, which means bouncing on ball is out too - rubbish!

4andnotout · 24/10/2008 18:56

I think recovery is quicker the more you have, i felt better the minute she was born than i have in the whole 9 months, midwife was very surprised that i went off with my mum to shower and change as soon as Tilly-Grace had finished feeding!
Just had a lovely 50 minute feeding session in my bed, she was so lovely and snuggly, my nipples are feeling a bit sore though!
Got to go i hear a wailing from the pram

SmudgeyDoodle · 24/10/2008 19:19

Wow 4andnotout - that is seriously impressive! Big congratulations again and glad that it all went well.
Nuclear, Jenwa and Girlwithmouseyhair you do realise that we're all desperately logging on in the hope that none of us have started anything yet so at least we're not the only ones still waiting
I do remember now that from my dating scan, they came up with the 27th so maybe I'm not overdue yet. LO still wriggling like mad so really not expecting anything. So, should I let DH go to Manchester tomorrow to pick up car if it's finished?
Hope everyone else enjoying their LO - so

star6 · 24/10/2008 20:16

wow 4andnotout! congrats

Flum · 24/10/2008 22:27

Well done 4 and not out.

Lovin the halloween emoticons. Still can't be arsed to use them though.

GirlWithTheMouseyHair · 24/10/2008 22:37

smudgeydoodle my dating scan also said 27th - date was brought forward at 12 week scan, so have decided I'm not due til Monday either!
