OH LIPPY!!! Did you have to mention Brie??? I would love some Brie right now. Mmmmm Bacon and Brie baguettes mmm.
I will have a feta and tomato pitta in half an hour I think hopefully that will help....or halloumi yum.
Ladies you should try a halloumi and bacon sandwich. So much salt it should be illegal but my gosh it is tasty!! Perfect hangover cure, not that we will be needing one of those for a while.

Cooperoo · 22/02/2005 09:55

I should add that half an hour will be my lunchtime here not a mid morning snack. I know I am eating alot but it is not that bad.....yet.

teabelly · 22/02/2005 09:56

oh oh halloumi yes - love the stuff - deep fried, toasted on kebabs, with tomato in a sarnie (veggie so can't do the bacon, but apprecite the sentiments)...now I'm really thinking about lunch and it's not even 10 o clock!

or port - but goodness only knows what the medical researchers would say about that, he he he!

Uwila · 22/02/2005 10:44

Seee... I told you we didn;t need mice. I didn't realise, however, that my cheese fettish was in such good company. I was prepared to tackle the cheese eating task for the whole world. I see now that the Chinese are not my fiercest competition. ( NI hope they get fat like us)

teabelly · 22/02/2005 10:55

LOL Uwila! yup would serve them right for trying to muscle in on our cheese!

tribpot · 22/02/2005 11:25

Is it only me, then, that has no appetite? I am a bit hungry in the morning but not at all in the evening, it's quite bizarre. So I am impervious to your talk of cheese

Cooperoo · 22/02/2005 11:42

Can anyone recommend a maternity bra that doesn't feel/look like a bandage? The ones I am trying to squeeze into are far too small and uncomfortable. Do we really need to be underwire free? Opinions please.
Thanks

charleypops · 22/02/2005 11:51

Scraggy - how can you eat an omelette bap at that time in the morning?? You are SO organised - breast pump already! I'm impressed! All I've got so far is the socks and a pack of bibs my gran sent me

Bubb - you could maybe claim on the house insurance for your leak?

Hmm - halloumi and tomato kebabs...

Anyway, i'm off to take the dog out and then stock up on a boot full of chocolate and cheese Well after a cup of tea...

MrsWednesday · 22/02/2005 11:53

The cheese talk does nothing for me either. Can take it or leave it (although macaroni cheese wouldn't be the same without it).

Cooperoo, I am still wearing underwired bras. Just couldn't be doing with saggy droopy boobs all the time (they are like that without the bra, obviously )

Bubbaloo, what a pain about your lounge. Just what you don't need at the moment!

Tribpot, I am very jealous of your lack of appetite. You can have some of mine if you like, it's far too big for one person.

Katz, hope you get good news tomorrow.

Uwila and Scraggy, glad you are both back. It isn't the same without you.

teabelly · 22/02/2005 11:54

The bras I got when expecting ds were from M&S and look like the old fashioned cross your heart jobbies, yuk! So this time I'm still in my old non mat bras...the underwrire thing has something to do with possibly affecting the milk ducts I think...but unlike most on here my boobies are only a little bigger and I don't plan to B/F sooo....also I'm not half as law abiding with the rules this time as I was with ds!

Lua · 22/02/2005 11:55

Morning all!

You guys are the masters of making me hungry!!! Stop it!! I luuurve cheese! I like lippy , the stinkiest the better! I have had a sommerset brie here and there, but I feel to guilty to tempt faith with anything really good and stinky .... So don't tempt me! Shushh, lippy does your DH let you eat the stinky ones???

Coperoo, doing pregnancy you can use underwire bras to your heart content! Is only when/if you are breastfeeding that you should avoid them, because they can block the milk ducts and leave you with a painful mastitis...

Hmm not a big macaroni cheese fan, although I love cheese on toast, raclette and good old seventies fondue So, basically any other type of melted cheese. Odd.

MrsWednesday · 22/02/2005 12:39

OOOooh, cheesy fondues . Lovely. I'm sooooooooo hungry.

LipstickMum · 22/02/2005 12:52

Do any of you ever feel a bit 'scared' when you read other threads? I don't mean scared literally, just that today I have been reading some other threads and there seems to be lots of horrible and sad stuff going on 'out there'. I always feel warm and cosy and safe when I get back onto this thread

SNAP Lippy. I am glad you said it first! I've been thinking about the same stuff and wanting to share, but was afraid to kill the happy mood on our thread.
I was just reading about bubble's twins and thinking about all the other stuff that has happened to people here. It does makes me scared! I think I am taking a happy outcome for granted....
I think it is a good reminder of how lucky most of us have been. May our luck continues and spread to others!

I have had a huge lunch and I am still starving. Think I will have to make some toast. Reading your posts is certainly not helping. Thanks for the advice about bras. I am glad to hear that it seems ok to wear underwire during pregnancy. I b/f dd for 12 months and sadly my boobs are not the same and seem HUGE now. Will have to get shopping this weekend. We have an M&S in Limassol so can go there. I have promised myself gorgeous feeding bras this time as I hope to be wearing them for a while and so will be splashing out on some I have seen on line. I got a skirt and top from JojoMamanBebe that arrived today. Were in the sale so cost £8.98 for both. Bargain and just right for the hot weather I have to come. I am big already but have no bump to put in the maternity clothes at the mo. Didn't get one last time either, just got fat but I feel there will be more of a significant bump this time round due to severe lack of tummy muscles.

Cooperoo · 22/02/2005 13:38

I haven't read any of the other threads. I feel I should have a surf around. Things like that do put things in perspective don't they.
I don't think there is anything wrong with assuming all will be OK though as this will make for a more relaxed pregnancy and this is def better for the baby. It is best to be informed and realistic but good to be positive too.
